Colton Capps
Colton Tyler Capps (born August 3, 2000) is an American director, editor, and cinematographer. Colton made his first film in 2017, at the age of seventeen. He was assigned a movie project with his friends Kaden Lloyd and Taimoor Malik for a class in high school. The three boys came together and made their first short film, 24 Hour Nightmare (2017). Ever since then, Capps has enjoyed creating films. He practiced and improved his abilities as a filmmaker in his high school film class known as TigerVision at Texas High School with the help of his instructor, Charles Aldredge. After graduation, he decided to attend the University of North Texas to further improve his skills as a filmmaker. Capps received his first award of Best Director at STN (Student Television Network) in 2018 for his film Game Over (2018). He went on to win 1st Place Digital Cinematography at SKILLS USA Regionals for his film The Quest (2019). He moved on to SKILLS USA Texas State, where he got 3rd Place Digital Cinematography for his film Date Night (2019).
