Hanagaki Takemichi is a worthless part-time worker who's down in the dumps. One day, he learns that his girlfriend from junior high school, Tachibana Hinata, was killed from being a victim of the conflict between the Tokyo Manji Gang. Takemichi is shocked by the sudden news but goes about his daily life when he is suddenly pushed off the station platform onto the railroad tracks. He is prepared to die as he sees the train coming right for him, but the next thing he knows, he's reliving his life from 12 years ago.
Takemichi returns to the present after shaking hands with Naoto and is reunited with Naoto who is now a police officier. Naoto asks Takemichi to go back in time and prevent the two leaders of the Tokyo Manji Gang, Sano Manjiro and Kisaki Tetta from meeting so that they can save Hinata. But what awaited Takemichi when he went back into the past 12 years were days spent as a slave to Kiyomasa, a member of the Tokyo Manji Gang.
In order to protect his friend Yamamoto Takuya who's a bit frail, Takemichi challenges Kiyomasa to a fight. Despite being beaten to a pulp, Takemichi doesn't back down, which starts to make Kiyomasa panic. Then, the commander and vice commander of the Tokyo Manji Gang, Sano Manjiro, AKA Mikey, and Ryuguji Ken, AKA Draken show up.
Takemichi gets to enjoy some happy times with Hinata back during their middle school days but then he is suddenly sent back to the present. After seeing how Mikey was, he tells Naoto that he can't imagine that it was Mikey that turned the Tokyo Manji Gang into the evil organization it is today. He wants to talk to Mikey in the present day but even Naoto doesn't know where he is. While trying to find a connection to get them to Mikey, they find out that Akkun was now in the upper echelon of the Tokyo Manji Gang...
Naoto finds out that 12 years ago, the Tokyo Manji Gang had split into the Mikey Faction and the Draken Faction and due to one of their disputes, Draken ends up dying. Despite Naoto telling him this, Takemichi refuses to believe that Mikey and Draken would ever fight and goes back into the past to find out what caused the dispute and to save Draken. Takemichi renews his determination as he goes back in time yet again, but when he opens his eyes, he finds a girl he doesn't know wearing just her underwear looking down on him.
Because Pah-chin's friend was brutally attacked by Moebius, the Tokyo Manji Gang decides they're going to fight Moebius. According to Naoto, Draken doesn't die because of the conflict with Moebius, but rather, an internal conflict between the Tokyo Manji Gang. Takemichi returns to the present to talk to Osanai, the leader of Moebius, to find out what really happened that day.
Takemichi goes back to the past and tries to stop the upcoming conflict between the Tokyo Manji Gang and Moebius, but Mikey and Pah-chin refuse to change their minds. Meanwhile, Osanai barges in with members of Moebius to launch a surprise attack. Pah-chin challenges Osanai to a one-on-one, but Osanai is two years older than him and beats him to a pulp. Despite this, Mikey doesn't interfere and just keeps watching it happen...
After the attack initiated by the head of Moebius, Mikey and Draken end up at odds with each other and then go visit Takemichi, who was injured. Takemichi is infuriated when the two of them end up fighting and destroying a bunch of his precious belongings. Akkun and the others try to stop him, but Takemichi ends up in tears, saying how much Toman means to him. His words get to Mikey and Draken and it seems like the mission was a success because of their reconciliation, but...
After receiving some information from Naoto, Takemichi goes to the parking lot where Draken is supposed to die. He finds Draken taking on Moebius all on his own. Takemichi and Mitsuya try to help Draken, but they are overwhelmed by the number of Moebius members. It was then the person behind the "Draken hunting" showed himself.
While the battle between Toman and Moebius led by their current leader, Hanma Shuji, is raging on, Draken ends up being stabbed by Kiyomasa. Mikey tries to get to Draken who is gravely injured, but Hanma keep getting in his way. Mikey then asks Takemichi to take care of him instead. While they're waiting for an ambulance, Kiyomasa and his thugs get in their way. In order to protect Draken, Takemichi challenges Kiyomasa one on one to settle things with him once and for all.
