Terri is in need of an audition piece and Dan's dramatic custody story would do nicely. Ann's attempt to quietly set Dan up with an old friend turns into a full staff dinner party.
When Dan discovers that Terri hijacked his story for her audition tape, he makes elaborate plans for revenge.
Adam Hirsch sends a new Vice President to Channel 10. Her charm is as clear as her reputation for wielding an ax and she's got some ideas for Mike. Mac struggles to stay neutral in a story about a gay candidate.
Mike's daughter Carrie is back in town with a surprise for Mike that not only leaves them at odds but threatens to drive a wedge between Mike and Ann. An incident gets the rumour mill going.
