Season 1:
Both down on their luck with their careers and their love lives, Alex and Kate try a dating site and find each other online.
As Alex and Kate chat online, their best friends, Brad and Shannon respectively both interfere: with Brad trying to take over the online chat and Shannon trying to scare off Kate.
After a reasonably successful first date between Alex and Kate (despite Brad inviting himself to tag along). Alex casts Kate in his latest short film to work together as well as try to get to know each other more.
