Season 1:
Nothing is going well in Joseph's life. His marriage to Marie is running out of steam: it is obvious that he is no longer attracted to his wife who is in despair. At work, it's not better. Oppressed by a tyrannical boss, Joseph spends his days in front of his computer, alone and jaded, selling labels. The only person who seems to want to bond with him is Jacques, the company computer scientist, a clumsy nerd who is harassed by his colleagues. But one evening, after having received a couple of friends at their home, Joseph suddenly had a severe stomach ache.
Joseph goes to a gold buyer who estimates his turd at ... 30,000 euros.
While shopping, Joseph bumps into his upset friend Sylvie. She suspects her husband Stéphane is having an affair.
Joseph is now sure that his wife is cheating on him with Stéphane but prefers to feign ignorance. The gold buyer turns out to be a thug and begins to take a closer interest in Joseph, who has decided to hide his gold turds rather than sell them to him.
Gilles, Joseph's father, tells him that he used to lay gold in the past too! Joseph immediately understands that his mother was cheating on his father who never suspected anything. Marie begins to suspect Joseph to know about her affair with Stéphane.
Nothing goes for Joseph: he realizes that one of his productions is missing of its hiding place and then suspects Marie.
Between Joseph and Marie, the atmosphere is more relaxed since the truth is known. As everything seems to be going better, his marriage comes back to life and he is ready to buy his company, Joseph is kidnapped by Gino, driven by a spirit of revenge after the death of his father, the gold buyer.
Gino still threatens Joseph to get his turds back, while Marie breaks up with Stéphane.
Joseph and Marie find themselves prisoners in Gino's cellar, who intends to sleep with Marie so that Joseph can lay eggs.
At the head of his new company, Joseph tries to find a solution to reimburse the tax authorities. To help, Jacques invests his mother's inheritance. Gino then offers to help ...
