Sent to investigate a complaint that Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys are committing crime verging on treason, Hawkeye and Chingachgook discover that the local sheriff and tax collector are victimising local settlers.
The Witch

Weird incidents terrorize a frontier town. in spite of Hawkeye's efforts to disprove the witch stories, strange murders increase the settlers' horror.

Hawkeye and Chingachgook find, Wenatchgo, an old medicine man of the Conestoga tribe wandering in the wilderness. He tells them he has been driven out by Shenahbe, an ambitious young brave.

An unscrupulous medicine man, Redwing, of the Turtle tribe, administers a drug to Snowbird, daughter of Chief Killbuck, to discredit Hawkeye and all white men in the eyes of his people. He accuses Hawkeye of casting an evil spell on the little girl.
Circle of Hate
Episode 39: Circle of Hate (Dec 25, 1957)
A young army lietenant whose family has been wiped out by Indians has developed a fanatical hatred of the Red Man. He attempts to kill or injure any Indian who crosses his path. When Hawkeye and Chingachgook enter the territory they hear of the Indians anger and their desire for revenge that can only lead to full scale war.
