Season 1:
In a bid to save her daughter from the evil eye of Junaid, Mahrukh decides to return to Pakistan on her mother's instructions. In Pakistan, Abeer's grandmother wants her to marry either Hannan or Hamza. However, both cousins do not plan to marry Abeer for their own reasons.
Hannan tells his grandmother he likes someone, prompting her to wed Hamza with Abeer. Initially opposed, Hamza and Abeer later change their mind. Farah is upset that her mother-in-law announced the wedding without consulting her.
Hamza is spotted with another girl in the mall by Hannan. Farah is uneasy with Hamza and Abeer's bond. At a family event, Hannan introduces Sara to his grandmother. Sara reveals her engagement leaving everyone shocked.
After the event, Hamza invites a reluctant Abeer to his room. His inappropriate behavior leads to Abeer slapping him. Hamza abruptly leaves the house and calls off the wedding, forcing his grandmother to wed Abeer with Hannan instead.
Abeer and Hannan decide to marry for the family's sake. Sara is shocked to see Hannan as the groom instead of Hamza. Hannan notices that Sara is not wearing her engagement ring.
Abeer and Hannan adjust to their married life. Hamza's whereabouts are still unknown and Farah is worried for him. Mahrukh appreciates Hanna for what he has done for her and Abeer.
After the reception event, Abeer and Hannan decide to befriend each other. Hannan meets Sara at the university. She asks him if he would leave his wife for her. At home, Abeer finds a text from Sara on Hannan's mobile.
Abeer spots Hamza at the mall. Mahrukh returns to America. Hamza meets Amal at a party. Hannan takes Abeer for lunch, during which Hannan receives a call from Sara, who is getting married. Sara asks him if he will stop her marriage.
Sara threatens suicide on the phone. Hannan rushes to Sara, leaving Abeer at home. Sara's mom scolds Hannan for coming. Abeer ponders if Hannan will abandon her like Hamza. Hamza and Amal forge a connection.
In university, Sara announces her marriage. Amal hesitates when Hamza proposes to her. Abeer hears her mother-in-law talk about Hannan's preferences. Abeer and Hannan go shopping together.
Amal invites Hamza home to meet her dad. Abeer and Hannan's bond deepens. Naseer tells Hamza that he will have to stay at Amal's as the groom. Hamza accepts Naseer's condition. On his grandmother's birthday, Hamza returns home with Amal.
During the birthday celebrations, Hamza constantly mocks Abeer and Hannan. Naseer warns Hamza that he will marry Amal to his friend's son unless Hamza introduces his family. Hamza's dad refuses to support his marriage.
