Season 1:
It’s September, and Mila and Lukas have been apart for several months. Lukas is sent home early from his office and initiates impromptu phone sex, but both Mila and Lukas struggle to find the mood over the phone.
It’s June, Mila and Lukas have just graduated college. Mila confides to her best friend Sammy that she has not told Lukas about her acceptance into an L.A. based writers program. As the night winds down, Mila finds the courage to tell Lukas about her opportunity.
It’s October, and Mila and Lukas are in a communication rut. While out, Mila bumps into Ridley, a friend from college. Meanwhile, Lukas gets approval to write an article with Fenna.
Lukas meets up with Fenna for a date at a bar, while Mila goes roller skating with Ridley. These new people and new possibilities prove exciting for both of them, putting their future as a couple into even more doubt.
Mila and Lukas have not talked since their dates. They decide to talk, and by the end of the call, they must decide the fate of their relationship: will they stay together or call it quits?
It’s August, Mila and Lukas spend their last days together moving Lukas into his Amsterdam apartment. They tour the city, talk about life and love, and enjoy their final fleeting moments. Back to the present, Lukas falls off his bike and has a moment of clarity. In L.A., Mila goes out with Ridley, but something isn’t right.
