A family relocates to the harbourside suburb of Westport after years of traveling in search of the perfect business and environment. However, the children's newfound stability may be short-lived. When Tamara and Steve Henderson left Haven Bay, they came to the city with their father, Wal. For the last two years they've been travelling, settling for a short time and moving on. Wal's been looking for the right business to buy into, and the right environment to live in. He's found it in Westport, a tough yet picturesque harbourside suburb. The Henderson kids have found a more settled life - or have they?

Season 1:
After living an unsettled life following their father's jobs, Steve and Tamara Henderson have finally settled down in the seaside suburb of Westport.
Unable to contact Mike who is in India on a second honeymoon with Pat, Steve and Tam decide to try and cope on their own but quickly discover money is going to be tight - and the bills are already starting to come in.
Steve goes to Harry in hopes of a getting a job but Harry turns him down and reiterates the importance of finding Wal.
Vinnie dives into the water to rescue Brains. Afterwards, both sides agree to a truce and Ron announces a party at the youth centre to celebrate.
After being questioned by Javorsky about the stolen brooch, Tam and Carol question Sally who adamantly denies taking it and runs off. Hiding out at the fort, Sally watches as a hooded figure arrives and hides the brooch.
Steve catches a fish - and a job when he helps out a fisherman at the docks.
Vinnie calls off the Brown Street Boys when they hassle Brains and Marty at school.
The kids believe Harry is smuggling native birds but decide they need more evidence before they can go to the police. Sally is conflicted about keeping quiet and lets things slip to Javorsky.
Vinnie stops in to tell Tam and Steve that Ellis is Harry's boss and they're moving another shipment of birds.
With Harry's business gone, Tam is at a loss for what to do next but Steve reminds her they still have the shipping list - they will find their father, no matter how long it takes.
Steve wants to located Harry's new base of operations but getting Vinnie's help may be problematic given his falling out with Tam.
Wal explains to Steve that he was threatened by Harry after he started asking questions about what he was hauling and had to disappear so the gang Harry was working with would know he hadn't gone to the police.
Tam and Vinnie tells the others about the bird smuggling, they all agree to keep watching the yard, but Sally is upset that they don't seem to care about the birds being hurt.
Steve and Vinnie tell Tam about the mystery box and they head to the docks. Tam pretends she wants a job while Steve and Vinnie try and get a look inside the box.
Vinnie heads to Tam and Steve's to tell them Ellis is the boss and they all head to the youth centre, Vinnie shows them an old skylight and they get in through there, the bird smell is there but no birds.
Tam and Vinnie argue about Vinnie hitting Mick. Tam doesn't like him being violent and he doesn't like being a wimp.
Tam is downhearted believing they are never going to find Wal.
Brains pushes Marty hard for the Cross Country, making him wear gum boots and a tyre tied round his waist.
Steve suggests getting Vinnie to help with the stakeouts again, but Tam doesn't think they can rely on him anymore, Steve tells her they need Vinnie and not to get him off side.
Steve finds out where to get aqua lungs filled up and enlists Vinnie, brains and Marty to help go round the dive shops looking for Spider's aqua lung, but they have no luck.
Wal tries to explain his disappearance saying he did it to protect them all, as Harry is mixing with some dangerous people that would commit murder.
Helen is called to a council meeting to decide the fate of the centre. Miranda warns Carol that her mother is determined to see the centre closed even though she tried to stop her going to the council.

Miranda's mother leads the charge to close down the youth centre but the kids voice their support to keep it open.
