The Mercedes-AMG ONE: A car that made history, before it was even built. What started with big promises from the AMG Management and highest expectations from not only a handpicked crowd of 275 customers but the automotive industry and beyond soon turned into a project that put the image of the entire Mercedes group at stake: misfires, problems, delays, frustrations, tensions within the management and the teams, and the rising pressure from all sides. Failure was not an option.

The announcement of Mercedes-AMG to develop a Hypercar with F1 technology gets the entire car industry buzzing and top AMG customers lining up to get one of the 275 cars. But problems and a surprising departure put the entire project at risk.
Difficulties just keep mounting and further delays seem to be unavoidable. Rumors in the press stir up confusion. Clients are getting anxious. Questions are being asked. Was this project just too ambitious? Can this team pull it together and finish the development in time for certification?
Have Mercedes bitten off more than they can chew? Is certification even possible? Delivery is now years overdue and, it seems, may not actually ever be possible. Clients are seriously frustrated and the pressure is huge. Will Mercedes-AMG be able to keep their promises or will this flagship project turn into an epic failure for the Mercedes Group?
