Season 1:
Taking full advantage of the wind and waves at Ho'okipa Beach Park. Kitesurfing, Wind Surfing & Kite "Trey" Boarding! Who knows if we will see conditions like this before next winter!? Better get it while I can.
Perfect Maui conditions with no wind are rare, especially for this time of the year. Made the most of this potentially last good swell by surfing the North Shore and the West Side.
By far the biggest back wash wave I've surfed before! What is a backwash wave? If there is a rocky cliff steep enough it bounces the waves energy back out to sea creating a massive collision with the on coming breaking wave. Crazy fun, pretty dangerous but so most potential. Thankfully I have crazy friends!
Kitesurfing tow-in's on a Foilboard with King of the Air champ Jesse Richman + Best party waves ever with Surfing's best aerialists Matt Meola and Albee Layer.
A freak swell stirs up some thick barreling waves, Kai finally gets a haircut after a year and a half! The MUDFLAP is born and it’s the greatest hydrodynamic haircut for bodysurfing. Watch and witness, tubular speeeeeeed!!!
As a Surfer I have never driven a SIM or a race car. Then I got the opportunity of a lifetime race in the F1 Monaco Virtual GP! I could not say no, and with the help of Max Verstappen & Alex Albon, I learned how to do it in a week and a half. HUGE THANKS to Tag Heuer & Red Bull Racing for the opportunity.
A day trip from Maui to Oahu to catch a rare summer season north swell on the iconic North Shore coastline. Surfing, Kitesurfing, Foiling and more!
We took out the jet ski's to do some strap surfing on the outer reefs with Maui's own pro snowboarder Lyon Farrell. He gave both myself and Kody Kerbox some major pointers to up our aerial game on waves. We want to do snowboarding tricks surfing, this is only the beginning!
The King of the Air champion Jesse Richman and I decided it was time to go HUGE on our Kites. We are using the Jet Ski with a 68 foot tow-in line to shoot us up into the sky. Terrifying experience, it was extremely exciting! This is about how we did it, so maybe you can too.
A perfect summer day on Maui taking my friends and local kids for rides on the Hawaiian outrigger canoe! Best way to enjoy the beach is together.
Frontside, backside 360's on the surf foil. Riding on the south shore of maui in "perfect conditions." I talk about the gear I use and where its evolving, also what the future of performance riding will be.
Wave sailing tandem Windsurfing at Ho'okipa with world champion and mad man, Ricardo Campello. The beginning of riding huge waves and sending massive jumps.
I always wondered how fast I could go on a Wingfoil board, my goal was to go and find out. The wind was wild, gusty offshore conditions blowing from 5 to 35 knots. With the foil I was able glide through the dead zones no problem, and on the gusts project forward as fast as I could.
When I saw Jeffery Spencer & Ridge Lenny landing back flips I was super inspired. Finally the sport of Wing Surfing has evolved to the point we can go upside down. I realized, if we can do back flips, why can't we do front flips!? Here's my little journey and how I did it.
It was Otis's first day ever windsurfing Ho'okipa, I had fun showing him how to do it without getting destroyed. Then we Wing Foiled at Kuau Bay before riding soft tops behind the winch in our friends pool. We tried to do as much as possible like step off Foil laps before he sells the house!!
The conditions were to out of control to paddle-in, so @Nathan Florence and I grabbed the Tow ropes and got barreled all day with friends! When the waves are this big you never know if you will ride the best wave of your life or have the worst wipeout of your life.
French Polynesia, one of my favorite places in the world, where the water is as clear as a swimming pool and the waves are better than any machine could make.
After a long summer and flat summer, the waves have returned! Its not the biggest ever, but enough to shred Surfing, Kitesurfing, Windsurfing and Wing Foiling.
I sent it on a mission to the other side of the island to search of surf. I sure found some really good waves with really good surfers ripping! After I sent back to the North Shore and rekindled my love for my SUP at Ho'okipa.
Testing new BIG wave foils, training on my shortboard and working on my flips with straps. Its only the beginning of the season and I have the feeling that this will be my best winter yet!! Stay tuned.
