Stairway to Heaven (2003)
Cha Songjoo and Han Jeongseo who have lost a father and a mother respectively spend their childhood together like real siblings. Songjoo is there for Jeongseo whenever she feels lonely and has a hard time, and Jeongseo also relies a lot on Songjoo. However, after Jeongseo's father gets married to Tae Mira, Mira and her daughter Han Yuri keep harassing Jeongseo out of jealousy. Han Taehwa, Yuri's rough and wild older brother, has a crush on Jeongseo who is pure and kind unlike him.

Season 1:
As Professor Han Sooha, Han Jeongseo's father, marries Actress Tae Mira, she starts to live with Han Yuri and Han Taehwa, her new siblings. Yuri and her mother harass Jeongseo in every way out of jealousy. Jeongseo waits for the day to go abroad to go to school with Cha Songjoo who's the one she's in love with and relies on.
Yuri sees Jeongseo in the attic and decides to punish her with a devious act. Taehwa confronts Jeongseo to discover if she has feelings for him.
A fight between Jeongseo and Yuri causes one of the sisters to run away from home. Jeongseo is hit by Yuri's car and there are consequences for everyone involved.
Songjoo and Yuri arrive in Seoul for the fifth anniversary of Jeongseo’s death. A surprised Songjoo sees Jeongseo at an amusement park, but she is now known as Kim Jisoo due to her amnesia.
An upset Yuri tries to commit suicide on her engagement day as bad memories of Jeongseo linger. Jisoo is unaware of Songjoo's help in saving the store from closing.
Yuri tells her mother that Songjoo has growing suspicions about Jeongseo's death. Many people that are close to Jisoo are starting to the realize that she is actually Jeongseo.
Songjoo is determined to make Jisoo remember her true identity and the family she left behind. The plan to return Jisoo's memory fails and she still feels no connection to her past life.
Jisoo runs into Songjoo and Yuri at the jewelry store. Jeongseo gets her memory back but fails to tell Songjoo about her news when the time comes.
Jeongseo is accused of being a bad person as she confronts Yuri, Chairman Min Seohyeon, and her stepmother. Taehwa cries out for Jeongseo after being assaulted because of a deal concerning his father.
Jeongseo is angry with Taehwa and questions his motives about the five-year deception. Songjoo comes to realize that the girl calling herself Jisoo is really Jeongseo.
Now angry, Yuri tries to make things difficult for Jeongseo upon her return. Yuri and her mother plot to publicly announce the engagement in hopes of trapping Songjoo.
The engagement party starts for Songjoo and Yuri just as Taehwa shows up. Songjoo and Taehwa get into a fight after Taehwa thinks he went back on the decision to take care of Jeongseo.
Taehwa is held against his will and criminals force him to paint forgeries of other pieces. Jeongseo must go to the hospital after suddenly developing an unknown illness.
An important family gathering reveals the truth about Cheolsoo’s identity and his relationship to Jeongseo. Yuri and Taehwa's father meets with criminals responsible for obtaining the paintings.
Songjoo and Jeongseo spend the day having fun at an amusement park. After a visit to her doctor, Jeongseo finds out that she is losing her eyesight.
Taehwa visits the family and details come out about Jeongseo’s accident. Songjoo and Jeongseo go to the beach, and he carries her through a difficult moment.
Jeongseo spends time at the beach house before Taehwa arrives. After Taehwa gets arrested, he asks Songjoo to be with Jeongseo because she is alone.
Now completely blind, Jeongseo meets Songjoo at a coffee shop and it brings him to tears. Taehwa finds out from his father that his mother wants both of them killed.
Yuri’s father tells everyone at the wedding that she ran over Jeongseo and asked him to cover up the accident. Taehwa goes to see Mira in a psychiatric facility.
A donor is found for Jeongseo after the serious accident involving Taehwa. Songjoo and Jeongseo go to the beach house one last time to say goodbye.
