Season 1:
Jang Dong Soo is a reckless investigator who will do anything to take down a kingpin mobster, even if it means heading back to his hometown and crossing paths with his past.
Heo Young Dal is in deep debt, and finds that the only way to get out of his own messes is to be Jang Dong Soo's informant.
With a lot of stolen money in his hands, Young Dal and Jang Soo must now tread carefully so that they won't be found by Boss Ki Chan's enemies. Yang Ha finally gets Jung Hee to have a drink with him.
Young Dal gets in trouble with Ki Chan's enemies, and finds himself caught up against Watanabe. Dong Soo learns more about Go Bok Tae's gangster past that might be tied to his own.
Young Dal resolves to take over the town of Sabuk. Shin Hye's father makes a special request to Jang Soo that will forever taint his reputation.
Shin Hye heads to Sabuk to learn more about Dong Soo. Young Dal moves forward with his plans to take over Sabuk. Yang Ha's secret identity is slowly revealed to more people in the casino.
Young Dal and Dong Soo reaffirm their alliance even though Young Dal isn't sure if he's completely loyal to the detective yet. Yang Ha takes his place as a director in his father's company.
Dong Soo leaves the force, and begins his own investigation on his father's death. Young Dal sets his plans to take over Madam Jang's casino in motion.
As Young Dal, Dong Soo, and Yang Ha begin to align their loyalties they find themselves on opposing sides with those they believe are their allies.
Young Dal pulls off a successful feat that makes Yang Ha hate him even more, and makes Jung Hee fear for his life. Just as Dong Soo learns the truth of his mother, Go Bok Tae learns about how Dong Soo is connected to his dirty past.
Young Dal and his friends find themselves in jail, and Yang Ha makes a new dangerous ally that could ruin Dong Soo's revenge.
A lot of things change in Sabuk while Young Dal serves his time in jail. New allies are made, and old friends become new enemies for Young Dal and Dong Soo.
Young Dal and Dong Soo forge ahead with their plans, and Young Dal decides to delve into his buried past with Shin Hye's help.
Shin Hye puts the pieces together on Young Dal's past. Dong Soo gets a new opportunity to take down Chairman Yoon. Jung Hee tries to find a way out of Yang Ha's grasp.
When Dong Soo is stabbed and ends up in a coma, Young Dal takes matters into his own hands to seek revenge against those who ruined his family.
Young Dal takes the position as a new director in Dae-Jung Group, much to Yang Ha's displeasure.
Yang Ha is demoted after he fails to impress his father. Young Dal pushes through with his business plans but there's a traitor in his circle.
When Jung Hee gets kidnapped by Han Myung Jae, Young Dal and Yang Ha work together to get her back, but only one of them ends up being the true hero in her eyes.
Dong Soo comes to terms with the mounting evidence that Yang Ha is his brother. Young Dal concocts a plan to get rid of Myung Jae for good.
Myung Jae falls right into Young Dal's trap, and everyone rallies to get rid of Myung Jae from Sabuk. Jung Hee is affected by the fallout resulting from Yang Ha's bad business decisions.
Yang Ha will do anything to get back to his father's good graces, but it ends up going against Young Dal and Dong Soo's plans.
Young Dal and Dong Soo hurry to save Yang Ha from being arrested, even though Yang Ha wants nothing to do with his biological brothers.
Yang Ha tries to oust Young Dal from Dae Jung Group but his father has already enlisted the help of the bloodthirsty and ambitious Hyun Pil Sang.
Hyun Pil Sang and Go Bok Tae step up their plans to eliminate the three Jang brothers, while an unexpected death brings the broken family closer together.
Yang Ha's life is in danger when Hyun Pil Sang and Go Bok Tae use him as a means to hit Dong Soo and Young Dal where it will hurt the most.
The final act begins with a death that will change everyone's lives forever.
