The Protectors (2009)

The Danish national police branch PET is in charge of personal protection, mainly of politicians and royal family. That also involves preventive work concerning terrorism, stalking etcetera. Meanwhile several team members must keep op top of personal concerns, such as ethnic background-related concerns and relational troubles at home.

Morten Nyholm, whose wife is high-pregnant again, and Jasmina, are sent to Islamabad in advance of the Danish foreign minister's visit, Jonas and Rasmus are ordered to guard Preben Pedersen, the cartoonist who offended Muslims by portraying the Prophet.

A Taliban bomb explodes in the hotel in Islamabad where Morten Nyholm and Jasmine are staying. Jonas and Rasmus are bored babysitting the depressed cartoonist Preben Pedersen.

The Danish foreign minister's next visit is to Moskow. PET sends along Rasmus and Jonas, who is delighted to meet up with reporter Tatyana 'Tanya' Zimakova, a former date. Benedikte Tønnesen, nicknamed "Tønne" , head of the Danish Intelligence Service, compromises her position by starting an affair with CIA agent Shane.

Russian reporter Tatyana Zimakova seeks political asylum in Denmark but can she be protected against her ennemies? The problems caused by the love affair between CIA agent Shane and Tønnesen are getting worse.

Foreign minister Margrethe Korch is supposed to retire 'for personal reasons' after a grand birthday party. One of the main candidates to replace her is capable MP Thomas Eriksen. Leon and Claudia are getting married.

The PM is ready to nominate MP Thomas Eriksen as new justice minister in a reshuffle. PET however feels it necessary to clear up his baby's kidnapping,

Episode 7: Part 17 (Feb 14, 2010)
Jonas attends the Moscow funeral of his lover Tatyana 'Tanya' Zimakova. The team is assigned to guard the charismatic Croatian nun Sister Abraham, author of a book on pacifist forgiveness.
Part 18
Episode 8: Part 18 (Feb 21, 2010)
The PET team finds out that the hotel's German waiter Klaus Maria Grashoff may still be planning an attempt on Sister Abraham.
Part 19
Episode 9: Part 19 (Feb 28, 2010)
Jonas gets a phone call from Robin Tim, a Danish ex-policeman who is involved in criminal activities in Congo and is imprisoned there because he killed a cop. Robin tells Jonas about plans for an assassination at the upcoming Climate Conference in Denmark. Benedikte appoints the incompetent and weak Palle Rud as Leon's second-in-command.
Part 20
Episode 10: Part 20 (Mar 07, 2010)
Leon and Jonas return home after they prevailed over the Congolese criminal gang, guarding the corpse of Robin Tim, which contains priceless diamonds.
