Banished (2015)
At its heart, Banished is a story of survival. Though it is set in the stark historical reality of the founding of the penal colony in Australia in 1788 after the arrival of the First Fleet, it is not the story of Australia and how it came to be. Rather, it is a tale of love, faith, justice and morality played out on an epic scale in a confined community where the stakes are literally life and death.

Season 1:
It is 1788 in New South Wales, and dawn is breaking over the ramshackle camp where British convicts and their masters are waking up to another dangerous day.
Freeman must tackle bully Marston, who is persisting in stealing his food. Drastic action is required.
The marriage of Elizabeth and Tommy is blessed by Reverend Johnson.
Mary Johnson shares her past sorrow with the insightful convict Anne Meredith.
To everyone's amazement Freeman is alive, and Major Ross is deeply affected by a personal loss.
Rebellion is in the air, and Tommy's headstrong behaviour risks Elizabeth's future plans.
