The Surgeon (2005)
The Surgeon was an Australian primetime television Medical drama. It screened at 9:30pm on Thursdays on Network Ten and in Ireland early morning on RTÉ One. The show was based at a fictional hospital named Sydney General Hospital. The first season consisted of 8 half-hour episodes. The show was not renewed for a second season due to a number of poor reviews and lack of sufficient ratings.

Season 1:

A young water polo player's career is in jeopardy after suffering a small scratch which ultimately starts a terrible flesh-eating virus.
A pregnant woman's baby's life hangs in the balance, and Eve must fight to save it's life.
Spending an overworked night at the hospital, treating a cancer patient has strange effects on Eve, and she eventually finds a time to let go and be free.
Difficulties arise in surgery when a young patient is found awake during his operation. The shocking truth is revealed about one of the doctors.
Surgery begins to have strange effects on Eve when she is forced between her personal life and her professional life.
Eve must deal with a strange patient who doesn't want to survive through their ordeal. The team are begin to feel the pressure and they tensions start to rise.
Eve's surgical career hangs in the balance and she is forced to tell the truth or face the consequences.
