Tree in the River (2018)
Chu Zhi He who's a goodie two shoes and Wang Da Shu who has a personality that is rigid and sturdy like a tree learn to grow together as they fall in love. Like the show's namesake, animal behavior is quite representative of human nature. Take the giraffe and the squirrel for example, they are a metaphor for two very different people who find a way to coexist.

Season 1:
Chu Zhi He encounters a childhood friend she barely recognizes at a wedding, and ends up paired with him on a matchmaking date.
Zhi He goes apartment hunting with Da Shu, and the beginnings of a romance between them sprout up.
Da Shu becomes more serious about his desire for Zhi He, but will a rushed romance bear them a happy future?
Zhi He and Da Shu's marriage continues to deteriorate, and Zhi He's workplace gets set for some big shakeups.
Zhi He tries to make things work in her marriage, but she is beset on all sides.
Da Shu tries to fix the problems in their marriage, but Zhi He is torn by outside influences.
As Zhi He becomes more resigned to their fate, Da Shu continues to innocently endeavour, but the countdown falls unceasingly.
Zhao Meng Qian's arrival spells the fated day. However, Zhi He and Da Shu still have a professional relationship to handle.
The collaborative project between Da Shu's and Zhi He's firms threaten Zhi He's desire for distance between them. Fen Ni attempts to mend things with her daughter.
As he realizes things between him and Zhi He won't return to the way they were, Da Shu starts to try getting over her, while trying to maintain the professional side of their relationship.
Da Shu's declaration to Zhi He marks a deep shift in misunderstanding between them, but when Da Shu realizes the truth, making up for it may not be so easy.
Both Zhi He's and Da Shu's firms go on a vacation to celebrate the popularity of their ad. Da Shu's absence spurs discord surrounding Zhi He, but also allows her to spend some time with House.
Zhi He and Da Shu return to their hometown to take care of Zhi He's ailing dad, but beyond them still hiding the fact they got divorced, something is amiss.
Zhi He's parents make things difficult for her and Da Shu. Xiao Yu discovers her true parentage.
With Zhi He's absence, Da Shu works on his relationship with her parents. Fen Ni and House examine their past, but can a conversation mend 18 years of heartbreak?
Xiao Yu does some snooping on House and Zhi He. The two of them, along with Da Shu and Ke Fang, go on a business trip to Singapore.
Da Shu and Ke Fang search for House's old friend Pei Pei in Singapore. Ke Fang presents her case to Da Shu, for him to be her dream repairer.
In the wake of tragedy, Da Shu and Zhi He return from Singapore. Zhi He and Fen Ni deal with losing a big project for their company and suspect foul play.
Zhi He's mother moves in with her and Da Shu, and they can't hide their divorce forever. Fen Ni confronts the traitor in the company.
Ke Fang meets with Zhi He, and cements her resolve over him. Xiao Yu introduces her new boyfriend to her parents. Da Shu and Zhi He rekindle their old love into something new.
