Season 4:
After learning that Malivore has taken over Landon’s body, Hope and the Super Squad come up with a risky plan to rescue Landon, as well as Cleo, who has been absorbed into Malivore’s darkness. Meanwhile, an impromptu date with Finch brings up a subject that Josie is not ready to talk about.
Hope has to relinquish control and allow Josie and friends to enact a risky plan that could save Landon; Landon and Cleo meet in Malivore's darkness and learn more about each other; Lizzie, Kaleb and Ethan volunteer together.

Hope wrestles with her reality. Alaric entrusts the Super Squad to work together. Cleo confides in Landon. Meanwhile, MG divulges some important information to Lizzie and Finch sees a different side to Josie. Kaleb, Jed and Ethan also appear.
Hope is tracked down by the one person who could help her "Rebekah Mikaelson". Rebekah is fearful of what path Hope has chosen but makes every effort to get through to her. Josie and Lizzie hold out hope in a seemingly dire situation as MG figures out what he can do to help. Meanwhile, Kaleb wants to set things right and turns to Cleo for guidance.
Josie and Lizzie search for answers which leads Lizzie to uncover a dangerous plan. Cleo works on tracking down Hope, who does not want to be found. Hope pays a visit to a familiar face. Meanwhile, Landon gets some clarity and a surprise visitor.
The Super Squad continues to work on helping Hope, much to her dismay. MG makes a last-ditch effort at helping the Super Squad, but things do not go as he had planned. Meanwhile, Lizzie searches for answers as Josie goes to extreme measures.
Hope find herself on a dangerous undertaking. Josie goes deep for answers as Lizzie asks Cleo for inspiration and is surprised as to where she finds it. Meanwhile, Landon continues his mission for peace.
Hope finds herself involved in a game of cat and mouse as Lizzie sets out to make things right. Josie has a heart-to-heart with Finch. Alaric, Landon, and Ted get a surprising result from their quest. Meanwhile, MG, Jed and Cleo handle matters back at The Salvatore School.
Cleo, MG and Jed work together on an unusual mission. Alaric, Landon, and Ted figure out what is next for them. Meanwhile, an unexpected source takes Hope by surprise.
Hope and Lizzie find themselves at a carnival with an unusual cast of characters. Back at the Salvatore School, students are speaking their minds, without knowing why, which makes Jed reveal a secret and Cleo works on protecting one of their own. Meanwhile, Kaleb and MG set out on a mission, which does not go as planned.
As Aurora continues her research, she finds information that could prove very useful. Hope commands Lizzie to do things, with surprising results ensuing. Alaric, Landon and Ted work together to devise how to best use their wishes.
Lizzie continues on her quest, with mixed results. Ben reveals more about his family and its history and Jed finds his feelings deepening. Cleo is concerned about her recent changes. Meanwhile, the Salvatore School students comes together to celebrate one of their own.
The Super Squad rallies together to test their abilities, with help from Vardemus. Hope experiences some vivid dreams, causing some mixed emotions. Meanwhile, Landon continues on his quest for peace.
Hope continues to be swirled in confusion and fighting her humanity, which results in her seeing the people who mean the most to her: Rebekah, Marcel, Kol, and Freya. Kaleb wants to introduce Cleo to his world, including those who had the most profound influence on his path. Meanwhile, Lizzie devises a plan to get in someone's good graces.
Hope continues her fight and Lizzie devises a plan to potentially help. Cleo is fearful of her visions and what it means for those she loves. Alaric sends Kaleb, Ethan and MG on a high-stakes mission. Jed finds himself needing to make a very difficult choice. Meanwhile, Landon makes a surprising discovery.
Landon faces yet another surprise; Hope does some deep soul searching; Ethan continues to struggle, and Lizzie steps in to help; MG finally divulges a long-kept secret; Alaric debates putting into action a precarious plan.
Alaric briefs the Super Squad on what comes next. Hope has a heart-to-heart with Lizzie. MG helps Ethan. Cleo continues to test her new powers and figure out her purpose. Meanwhile, Landon takes on a new role.
