Season 1:
Just before his life is turned upside down, Lee Gang gives a warm meal to a starving Mun Cha-yeong. Years later, she thinks she recognizes him.
Gang fights for survival. Gwon Min-seong falls for Cha-yeong, whose dumpling soup is so delicious, he longs for it even after their eventual breakup.
When Kang shows up in Greece, Cha-young learns about Min-seong -- and heads back to Korea to make him the soup he craves.
In the immediate aftermath of an accident, Kang makes a choice that later costs him. Cha-young helps out Han Seon-ae and the hospice.
Kang begins his new job at the hospice, while Cha-young deals with a persistent patient who asks her to take him out for black bean noodles.
A young patient on his way to deliver a birthday gift to his mother gets a ride from Kang. Cha-young fulfills a favor for Lee Jun.
Cha-young is mortified when Moon Tae-hyun embarrasses her in front of Kang. At Kim Hui-ju's request, Jun meets her by a lake near the hospice.
Things go awry for Cha-young after she treks up the mountain to pick berries. Ji-yong has an unearthly explanation for his illness.
Han Yong-seol reveals her plans for the hospice and for Kang's future in the family business. Jun forces himself through his community service hours.
During an emotional confrontation with a patient's long-lost mother and brother, Cha-young sustains a head injury with upsetting consequences.
Jun worries about Cha-young as she struggles to come to terms with her condition. She and Seon-ae prepare to leave the hospice's kitchen.
Back in his hometown, Kang mourns the passing of an old friend. Jun deliberates over whether to tell his father a family secret.
Kang decides to stay in Wando a little while longer — and asks Cha-young to do the same. Jun also makes his way to the island.
Jun questions his deeply competitive relationship with Kang. Seon-ae, still wishing to cook for Kwon Hyeon-seok, finds out what his favorite dish is.
Making his amends with Kang, Jun reveals a truth he'd been holding back. Cha-young opens up about a special woman from her past.
Kang chooses what's most important to him. Cha-young receives an unexpected phone call while getting ready to celebrate his birthday.
