Season 1:
It's back to school for Benjamin and Noé who find themselves in the same class. Sali is job-hunting, whilst Paul is still a florist. When Lazare, to whom Paul hasn't spoken for years, arrives unexpectedly from the Côte d'Ivoire, the happy balance of the family is put under considerable strain.
Lazare's arrival awakens a desire in Benjamin to find his biological parents. Noé falls secretly in love with Emma, but she seems to only have eyes for Benjamin. Paul discovers the real reason for Lazare's sudden arrival. Sali is torn between her search for a job and her family life.
It's bad news for Benjamin in his search of his biological parents. Sali sees her professional hopes dashed one after another. And as for Paul, he decides to let Lazare live with them.
Sali, Lazare and Mamita try to obtain confidential information about Benjamin's biological parents. The latter heads off to the country with Manu and learns more about is his relationship with Prune. Noé rehearses for his piano audition and tries to find a way to make Emma like him.
Sali and Paul discover the true identity of Benjamin's biological mother. Noé is upset when he realizes that Emma doesn't return his feelings. Lazare risks deportation from France and Paul does everything he can to help him.
Benjamin wants all his immediate family to come with him to Normandy to meet his biological mother, Ève. During the journey, Paul and Sali see their relationship tested time and again. Parents and children both need to get their family back on a more stable footing.
