Season 1:
Lidia, a young waitress from Romania, is lured to Sweden and trafficked into forced prostitution. Police officers Ewert and Anni Grens are expecting their first child, but their happiness is dramatically cut short.
Following a brutal assault on Lidia, young police officer Mariana Hermansson is determined to find the people responsible. Ewert receives devastating news about Anni's medical condition, while Jochum is released from prison.
The respected hostage negotiator Tobias Nordwall is called in to solve the hostage situation at the hospital, but the situation quickly takes an unexpected turn. Jochum attempts to reunite with his ex-girlfriend Alexandra.
In the aftermath of the explosion at the morgue, police officers Ewert, Mariana and Sven search for answers. Jochum is stuck between two worlds: his criminal past and his longing for a peaceful future.
Without informing his colleagues, Ewert travels to Romania with Alina in search of the truth about the sex trafficking ring in Stockholm and to clear Tobias from suspicion. In a forest in Sweden, Jochum has an important decision to make.
After completing one last dirty job, Jochum has finally made up his mind: he is done with his criminal life. Ewert is back in Stockholm and gathers his colleagues for a run through of the shocking new information he received in Romania.
