Season 1:
Ziad and Rama's maid predicts, by reading the coffee cup, that a catastrophe will happen to them, whereupon Jamal, the husband of Rama's late mother, pressures her into selling her palace to him, threatening to tell Ziad that she has had a hysterectomy and hid the matter from him.
Rama gets into a car accident, falls into a coma, and is taken to the hospital. Lamia attempts to get rid of the comatose Rama but fails, whereupon it is revealed that Lamia works for Jamal. Lana insists on getting plastic surgery after her face was disfigured.
Ziad hides Rama in his room and tells everyone she died. The relationship between Lana and her mother grows tense. Lamia fails to confess her love to Ziad. As Jamal shows Ziad the contract of Rama selling the palace to him, Ziad refuses to believe him and throws him out.
Sarah's mother dies after discovering that Ziad has hidden the still alive Rama in his room. Ziad proves to Jamal that Rama has given up all of her property to him.
Lana asks Ziad to perform plastic surgery on her and change her features. With the help of his lawyer, Jamal plans to accuse Ziad of killing his wife in order to acquire her fortune, and he threatens Lamia to testify against Ziad, who performs the surgery on Lana.
Ziad pressures Lamia into manipulating Jamal, while Lamia tells Ziad about Rama's hiding her hysterectomy from him. Ziad threatens to kill Jamal to make him stay out of his way.
Lana chides Ziad for evading her, whereupon Ziad performs the second surgery on her, and it turns out that he turned her into the spitting image of his wife Rama, who turns into a fugitive after her mother filed a report accusing her of theft.
As Lana hides in Ziad's house, her mother continues to search for her, whereupon Ziad proposes to her. Ziad denies to Rama's mother knowing her whereabouts.
Ziad marries Lana and tries to hide from her the fact that his wife is on a ventilator in the basement of the house. Jamal meets Lana and mistakes her for Rama.
Lana rejects Ziad's attempts to control her and discovers that he has turned her into a copy of his wife Rama. Jamal offers to cooperate with Lana to take revenge on Ziad.
Lana sneaks into the basement and finds the comatose Rama. Lana tells Ziad that she is pregnant, while Rama awakes from her coma.
