Season 1:
After a long sick leave, a down-to-earth politician, returns to "apologise" following accusations of sexual abuse. The politician drops dead, and we follow the B-Team’s investigation of a #metoo scandal inside a political party—which puts Ayla’s temper and professionalism to the test.
A retired police hero is killed. He has been very involved in the debates over where a national preparedness centre should be based, and the level of threat against several policemen is heightened. What is the connection, and are more people under threat? One of the murder victims is Kit’s close friend and mentor, and in the course of the investigation we realise how close Kit is to Victoria and the role he has played in her life.
The old B-Team are tasked with solving the murder of a nurse at a high-security psychiatric unit. Victoria goes undercover, getting admitted as a patient—and she gets close to the world of psychiatric care for better or for worse.
The B-Team investigates the murder of a beautiful, young woman, that at first glance appears to be a crime of passion. While investigating the woman’s residence Victoria and Ayla discovers that she was in fact living a double life, and they start to question her real identity. Nothing is as it seems, as the truth about the murder victim brings them into the world of international intrigue, espionage and the intelligence service.
Politician Olivia Mohr’s death takes Victoria and the team to unfamiliar arenas, where the attitudes of the team members come into direct conflict with each other. Mohr’s champion cause—surrogacy—seems to be at the heart of all her conflicts, and has led to confrontations with party leader Frank Bø. The investigation takes an unexpected twist when the leads point towards a pregnant TV celebrity—who is 59—Vanessa, who seems to have left reality behind for reality TV.
In the present, Victoria is applauded for dispatching a truck attempting to smuggle valuable medicine out of the country. A serious influenza pandemic is threatening Norway, making this a matter of the highest priority. Victoria is heralded as a national hero —even Devold offering some faint praise for her actions. She returns home to celebrate with her son, only to receive a message that Johannes has been kidnapped—with the perpetrators demanding the shipment of medicine as ransom.
In the present, Victoria is on the run. Desperate, she turns to Peter for help, the only one who knows the truth. Meanwhile, the rest of the B-team are starting to catch up, and show their loyalty towards Victoria, as they hatch a high-risk plan to take down O.K. and rescue Johannes.
