October 1981 and the new decade is well and truly upon us. Angelos, now a soldier on leave, takes a walk in another Athens that moves to a very different beat. He is in shock, not only by what he is seeing around him but also by the stand he discovers his father has taken in all of this. The change takes him back to February 1981, a month that will forever remain indelible in the memory of the Greeks. Angelos lands in an era of radical socio-political change. Little Noni is now in primary school and seems to honor her grandmother's name, Dimitris and Nana are separated, Stelios is now extremely popular in the Ministry with everyone except his boss.
Election speeches abound in Athens in October 1981, with the PASOK party proving itself to be extremely popular among the largest part of the population. Discussions have now been transferred to the “green” and “blue” cafés, according to which party one supports, but also to all kinds of hangouts, with each side booing the... boos of the other side. Angelos, who is going to vote for the first time, sees everyone trying to sway him to their side, with Stelios being the first in line, since he won’t even hear of indecisiveness. At the same time, friends, relatives and neighbors have to decide how Stelios' involvement with politics looks like to them because for reasons of “force majeure” he was found on the balcony of the PASOK party gathering. At the same time, little Noni has to face some disapproval that will put Dimitris and Nana in a difficult position, while Antonis makes a decision that Angelos will not like at all...
In Athens there is a mess of flyers and notices and Athenian citizens have set out to clean the streets of their city and put it in order. In little Noni’s class, Nana and Dimitris are preparing to scold her teacher, who made sure to “isolate” the children of divorced parents. And while Pelagia seems to be playing both sides in politics, Antonis has made a decision about his love life, announcing to everyone that he is getting married to Myrto. Angelos is not the only one who will be upset with the news. A person from the past who doesn't want this marriage will appear again. Angelos, who feels that time is pushing him to reveal to his brother the truth about him and Myrto, decides to do so through a letter he leaves on Antonis' bed. What follows stuns Angelos so much that Louis' absurd theories begin to seem possible. It is another letter, however, from far away, that will be the one to upset the Antonopoulos family until the letter of Angelos falls into the wrong hands!
A mysterious event bound to upset Pelagia and the whole of Greece is the springboard for all the strange things that gradually begin to concern the neighborhood of Gkyzi. The newlyweds, Antonis and Myrto, have more surprises in store for the entire family, while Angelos, returning from his military service, inherits his brother's basement and brings with him another letter from a dearly loved one. Zampeta's obsession with her visit to the cemetery and its outcome force Louis, who has become an ardent Erich von Däniken fan, to enlist his friend's help. Meanwhile, another unexpected visit from Antonis' past confuses him even more. Pelagia continues to witness strange phenomena but no one seems to take her seriously, while they are all getting concerned about her health. Angelos gets into the Christmas spirit a little too soon and reminisces about the past, while an unknown man pays the neighborhood a visit looking for answers...
A veil of mystery continues to envelop the neighborhood of Gkyzi, as Angelos is moving into his basement. As Kosmas is “interrogated” by Edelweiss' patrons, Angelos and Louis wonder what has become of the third member of their group, Charis. At the same time, Zampeta takes care of "Roger" never imagining the upset she is about to bring, unwittingly, to Pelagia and Mary, who is already anxious for her sons, while the appearance of Kosmas troubles her even more, as she wants no “unpleasant” surprises... And while Stelios stands his ground, putting a stop to the rumors about Pelagia, a series of random but completely explainable events convince Pelagia of all the things no one else is willing to believe! Discussions at home about the existence of UFOs and aliens get heated, preparing everyone for the new “alien” visitors who, apparently, are here to stay...
The Apostolopoulos family, who have moved into the old apartment of the Antonopouloses, turn out to be too loud even for the neighborhood of Gkyzi... An eventful argument turns them into a spectacle for the whole neighborhood. With or without arguments, the neighborhood cannot resist commenting on the explosive Jenny, the exuberant Greg and their mysterious daughter, Catherine, who is permanently surrounded by the aura of deafening music heard from the large headphones of her walkman. At the same time, Pelagia continues to say whatever she wants, while the constant noise of late becomes the reason for calling even the new, familiar, policeman. Elpida will have some very good news, which, however, she will start to question, and Giannis and Toula will ... get thrown out of their house. And as the anniversary of the uprising for the Technical University is approaching, along with Noni's birthday, Dimitris asks Mary to intervene so he can also attend the little girl's birthday party.
A strong friendship seems to begin between Stelios and Greg, causing ... displays of jealousy. However, Mary does not take kindly to the Greek Australians either, especially Jenny, who in every appearance attracts everyone’s gaze, generating comments and gossip since all the women in the neighborhood look at her with disbelief and interest, questioning the methods by which she keeps herself in shape at this age! Meanwhile, Stelios spends his name day anxious about his meeting with the minister, who asked to see him in person, while Angelos tries to find a way to approach the unruly Catherine, who apparently isn’t interested in getting to know him. Stelios will take an initiative to strengthen the family's relationships with the new neighbors...
The political debates on the succession of the presidency of the New Democracy party have flooded the cafes and cafeterias, monopolizing the interest of citizens. Angelos admires Catherine more and more and tries to approach her, while Nana tells Mary that she is ready to renew herself and move on with her life, revealing to her that she has a secret admirer. Her sudden "availability" irritates Dimitris, who doesn't know what to take his anger out on. Mary wonders why the Apostolopoulos family are going on a trip to Meteora and leaving their daughter alone in Athens. At the same time, Leonidas Mermygkas does not hide his displeasure towards Stelios, who seems to be rising sharply in the ministry, due to... ideological reasons. Finally, Antonis will bring home some news that will dishearten Elpida, making her fears come true...
With the rise in incidents of violence against women that will shock public opinion in December 1981, the neighborhood awakens, with women taking initiatives not only for their rights but also for their safety. First and foremost, Jenny, who seems more eager than all of them and who, it seems, has been particularly affected by everything that is happening! And while the neighborhood and especially the women are more cautious than ever, Nana decides it's time to meet her secret admirer... The march the women will organize will have a bigger impact than expected! And while Ritsa will bring good news to Angelos, Christmas will bring another separation that could not be avoided...
The big moment has come! Angelos is fired and a business proposal gets him thinking... The change in traffic regulations, with odd and even days for car plates, worries all the protagonists and Antonis decides to conduct a survey about the issue. The professional pressures, the smog and the constant changes bring nightmares to Stelios, as well as Angelos, who decides to exorcise it all with a party...
Anna's appearance at the party leaves Angelos stunned and confused! The first IVF “test-tube” baby is born in Greece and more and more people will encourage Giannis and Toula to consider this option! Nana and Dimitris can't ignore Noni's strange habits, while Elpida begins to suspect that she may be the object of an unexpected courtship!
The ever self-assertive Mary is getting sick of the life of a housewife and wants to do something else, while she is also annoyed to see Stelios not helping her with the housework. Angelos musters up the courage to talk to Katherine about how he sees her, however Louis makes his mind about something much bigger, about the future of his relationship with Zampeta. Meanwhile, another unexpected arrival is about to shake up the Antonopouloses!
The carnival is fast approaching and the neighborhood has to prepare for its revival. Nana announces to Mary and Stelios that she has met someone, while Toula and Giannis pay their first visit to the doctor. At the same time, Louis makes plans to pop the question to Zampeta, not knowing what’s in store for him! The carnival is about to give rise to revelations and all kinds of shenanigans in the neighborhood of Gkyzi...
While the ideology of fast food enters the lives of Greeks, Louis is in shock, after the revelations of Zampeta. He does not know how to deal with the new information, while there is chaos in his family! However, neither Dimitris knows how to deal with Nana's new choices, which hurt him every day more and more and, ultimately, lead him to extremes…
Mary, following Jenny's advice, starts taking English lessons, while Vangelis Papathanasiou's Oscar nomination for "Chariots of Fire" brings an international flare to the neighborhood!
