Season 1:
An all new team of Jaipur Pink Panthers meets for the first time at the pre-season training camp. Abhishek Bachchan demands success from his recruits, despite the untested team’s average age being 21. Newly appointed captain Deepak Hooda is under pressure to prove himself a leader while head coach Srinivas Reddy has been given a last chance despite his team finishing in the bottom 3 last season.
Jaipur Pink Panthers start the season with a bang while the players enjoy a taste of the celebrity life with the Bachchan family in Mumbai. With a young and talented squad, competition for a place in the team’s starting seven is fierce and not everyone is left happy. Coach, Reddy has to make smart decisions and Captain Deepak Hooda needs to be the leader the young team needs.
Coach Srinvas Reddy brings the players back down to earth with a bump as their surprise early season form starts to waver. With team confidence high, owner Abhishek Bachchan dares to dream but sees challenges ahead. Illness takes its toll on the team, forcing key raider Nitin Rawal to take time out, meaning others must step up and take on more responsibility.
Midway through the season a spectacular loss in form has a Sportstic effect on team unity as JPP plummet down the league table. Captain Deepak Hooda’s captaincy is heavily criticized by his teammates and the management. Coach Srinvas Reddy struggles to motivate the team as his methods are openly challenged by his players.
The team arrives in home city Jaipur. Fans’ support remains strong despite their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs hang by a thread. Divisions within the team explode as conflicts between players and coach Reddy intensify. Following a rollercoaster season, owner Abhishek Bachchan, Coach and Players reflect on the season with contrasting views, each contemplating what their future holds.
