Season 3:
Dad takes the whole family to Okinawa for a work trip during summer vacation. A girl named Aina gives them a warm welcome at her beach house.
Chi wants to become friends with the three cats that live near Aina's house, but they say she needs to pass three tests before they accept her.
Yohei and his parents find a gecko in the house while Chi is asleep and try to quietly shoo it outside, knowing she will chase it if she wakes up.
When Chi loses her favorite cushion, she begins searching the house high and low. Sunny and the other cats offer to help her look for it.
Yohei and Aina decide to make Okinawan doughnuts for Dad, who has been busy working hard. The hungry cats try to steal some for themselves.
Dad, Yohei and Chi go to a forest to find a big tree. After Chi eats a snack said to be liked by the forest’s spirits, spooky things start to happen.
Aina invites Yohei and Mom to try hip-hop dancing. She tries to teach them, but they aren't very good at dancing and struggle to keep up.
Aina helps Yohei make a video report for his school project. But when they start filming, she keeps getting distracted by random events.
Two lion-like guardian spirits suddenly jump down from the roof and teach Chi and Sunny how to look alert and defend the house from danger.
Yohei goes fishing with Aina but is too scared to touch the worm bait. Remembering an Okinawan saying, he finally finds the courage he needs.
A typhoon hits Okinawa, forcing everyone to stay indoors and play games. Chi tries to play with the cats but finds them fighting with each other.
Dad worries when he finds that the screen he needs for the festival has been broken, but he gets an idea when he sees Aina and Yohei catching fish.
