Season 1:
The Malhotras and the Alis gear up for the India v/s Pakistan cricket finals. But when the match is over, grief comes knocking at their doors. Sara and Vishal's statements spark a war of words on social media.
The media is keen to interview Vishal, Sara, and their siblings. New struggles emerge for both the families as they deal with opportunistic relatives, unwanted media trials, and their uncertain future.
The recent news of martyred soldiers puts things in perspective for Sara and Vishal. Vishal chats with Sara online and takes over Sunanda’s responsibilities. Amna faces a life-changing choice.
Sara's response on an online chat disturbs Vishal, so he calls her, but they end up blaming each other's fathers. Vishal discovers the side effects of Sunanda's medicines and seeks Sara's advice.

Sara overhears Badar and Rabia arguing amongst themselves and takes a stand against her relatives. Later, while Vishal hesitates, Sara waits for his reply to her message. Will he reply?
Sara and Vishal are rebuked by Amna and Sunanda for being concerned about each other. Sara and Vishal’s pain brings them closer, but will their families understand their friendship?
Vishal makes an upset Sara smile and dedicates a song to her. Sara confronts her grandparents. Meanwhile, a threatening call from the tenants leaves Shobha worried.

Sara befriends Junaid and Vishal grows anxious as he learns about him. Sara realises her friendship with Vishal is growing into something special. Vishal makes a difficult career choice and hides it from Sara.
Sunanda finds out about Vishal’s career choice and confronts him, but he remains firm on his decision. Sara tries to lighten up Vishal’s mood. Sunanda feels helpless and reveals Vishal’s truth to Sara.
Sara feels betrayed by Vishal's decision and takes a decision about her future, which shatters Vishal. A few months later, Vishal calls Sara and asks her to give him another chance.
Two years later, both the families have moved on with their lives. Sara and Vishal are devoted to the choices they made. A sudden India-Pakistan skirmish hits both the countries and families.
The tension at the border intensifies with each passing day. Fate brings Junaid and Vishal face to face. A piece of painful news shatters both the families yet again.
