Cash and Company (1975)
Cash and Company was an Australian television period adventure series, set during the Victorian gold rush of the 1850s. The original series consisted of 13 one hour episodes, filmed in colour and on location in rural Victoria. Production began in July 1974 and the series premiered in Sydney on the Seven Network on 26 May 1975, in Melbourne on 29 May, and in Brisbane a few weeks previously. It was also was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, and was sold to Sweden, Holland, Yugoslavia, Ireland, Norway, Rhodesia and Nigeria. The series was also shown at Sunday lunchtime in the United Kingdom by the London Weekend Television Network, in advance of its airing in Australia. It was produced by Homestead Films, a TV production company set up by Patrick Edgeworth and Russell Hagg, who had worked together at Crawford Productions on Matlock Police. Edgeworth's brother is the musician Ron Edgeworth, who was married to Judith Durham of The Seekers. The episodes dealt with the adventures of bushrangers Sam Cash and his partner Joe Brady and a helpful widow, Jessica Johnson. Cash and Brady were fugitives, constantly absconding from the authorities, led by the corrupt police trooper Lieutenant Keogh. Other regular and recurring characters included Jessica’s father in law and her servant, Annie.

Season 1:
Cash & Brady first meet at a miner's dispute. After shoting in self-defence and escaping, they end up at widow Johnson's homestead to hide from Lieutenant Keogh.
Cash & Brady search for a witness that can varify that they both shot in self-defence. Unfortunately the corrupt Lt. Keogh also searches for this witness so he can shut him up / kill him.
Cash and Brady need to retrieve a photograph taken of them attending a boxing troup show and aviod Lt. Keogh at the same time.
Brady takes a huge risk of being captured to see and here an old flame (Sarah Simmons) sing in a travelling show.
Sam Cash is caught up in a pistol duel defending a stranger to the homestead / hideout.
A gang of bushrangers hold Cash, Brady and Mrs. Johnson prisoner in the homestead in retaliation after Cash and Brady stop a robbery by the gang.
Cash and Brady need to recover money taken by the corrupt Lt. Keogh at an illegal poker game.
Sam Cash and a visiting English painter plan to retrieve a valuable horse from Lt. Keogh's compound.
Cash and Brady help a widow and her child after Lt. Keogh sets alite their business tent. Strangely, it is one of Keogh's own troopers that help them.
Cash and Brady meet up with an excentric scientist (Dr. B.S. Stone) who claims to be able to create gold from lead.
Lt. Keogh hires a prisoner to infiltrate the homestead and turn Cash and Brady over to him.
Mrs. Johnson is courted by a greedy landowner Jacob Striker whos ulterior, and only, motive is to take over the homestead. Cash and Brady do what ever they can to stop him.
Bounty hunter Ryler successfully hunts Csah and Brady to Mrs. Johnson's homestead. Cash and brady realize that this is the time to split, say goodbye and ride off in different directions.
