The Red Rain of Hell

Five captured Earthlings: the fearless Captain Akira “Chief” Kogane, the silent Takashi “Quiet” Shirogane, the strong Tsuyoshi “Hothead” Seidou, the reckless Isamu “Moody” Kurogane and the small but crafty Hiroshi “Shorty” Suzuishi, will attempt to escape the dungeons of Castle Galra before they are again forced to fight in the arena or worse, turned into massive Beastmen monsters.

Having been seemingly defeated by King Daibazaal’s giant Deathbeast, the GoLion team must regroup and convince Princess Fala’s mice to surrender the last remaining key to form the invincible warrior known as GoLion. When the evil Galrans return to finish the fight, the legendary GoLion returns and the team has brought the Kings Sword Jyuohken with them to finish the fight!

Episode 5: Fortress for the New Struggle (Apr 01, 1981)
With the return of GoLion, the universe once again has hope against the evil Galran Empire, but the residents cannot be convinced to join the resistance. Daibazaal sends a new and more powerful Beastman nicknamed “Death Hell” to destroy GoLion once and for all. The battle is on as Princess Fala joins the fight and transforms the decaying Castle Altea into the incredibly fortified Castle Gradam!

With the Kingdom of Altea restored, the heroes begin to distribute food to the war-torn citizens only to walk into a dangerous trap of the Witch Honerva. Using a Beastman known as Galcia, she manages to kill the Blue Lion pilot “Quiet” Shirogane! How will they battle the monster Galcia without the ability to form GoLion?

With the absence of Blue Lion pilot Shirogane, Princess Fala is determined to learn how to pilot the mighty Robot Lion and take his place alongside the GoLion team! Her returning nanny Ms. Hys thinks otherwise, but her skills will soon be put to the test when Galra General Sadak unleashes a Beastman upon the villagers of Altea!

A dashing visitor known as Bambara shows up and impresses all but “Moody” Kurogane. The team considers giving him a chance to pilot Blue Lion but when a cobra attack in the night is blamed on King Daibazaal, no one suspects it could originate from this mysterious new stranger whose Galran roots are soon to be revealed…
Girl of the Land of Evil
Episode 9: Girl of the Land of Evil (Apr 29, 1981)
An Earth girl names Lisa is rescued by the team after being shot down by the Galran forces. Lisa explains she escaped from Castle Galra which earns “Hothead” Tsuyoshi’s sympathies as he had a sister about her age. It is soon discovered that Lisa has psychic powers and is nothing but a saboteur for the evil Witch Honerva to destroy the Castle Gradam from the inside!
Secret of the White Lion
Episode 10: Secret of the White Lion (May 06, 1981)
A majestic white lion appears to Princess Fala in a dream when she intercepts as the spirit of her mother. When she follows this symbolic creature in real life she finds herself at the mercy of the with Honerva who transforms the lion into a Beastman named Lian which traps the rest of the team as well. Can Raible and Hys save the day inside the Blue Lion?

Episode 13: Introducing Beautiful Honerva (May 27, 1981)
Princess Fala’s aunt, Queen Elena has seemingly returned to Castle Gradem but with a colder personality than Raible remembers. The mice are suspicious as well and when the with Honerva’s demon cat Jaga shows up they realize it is a trap. Can Shorty and the team convince Fala in time before she is assassinated?
The Crown Prince of Hell
Episode 14: The Crown Prince of Hell (Jun 03, 1981)
After numerous failures by General Sadak, Emperor Daibazaal is about to execute the failed commander when Daibazaal’s son Prince Sincline returns from his bloody conquests of other planets. Sincline is disturbed by rumors of GoLion’s return and goes to attach Altea directly but is quickly infatuated by the beauty of Princess Fala. Sincline takes on Kogane in a one-on-one battle as Sadak is turned into a Deathbeast and attempts to destroy GoLion himself!
Overcome the Phantom Shirogane
Episode 15: Overcome the Phantom Shirogane (Jun 10, 1981)
Princess Fala has been training inside Black Lion as she attempts to earn the respect of the other GoLion team members. Meanwhile, Prince Sincline launches an all out attack, demanding Altea surrender Fala or be destroyed. Fala surrenders herself to Sincline to avoid his wrath on her people but is rescued by Kogane who is injured in the battle. But will the team be able to destroy the Beastman “Blockgod” and defend against the Galran onslaught?
The Legendary Bridge of Love
Episode 16: The Legendary Bridge of Love (Jun 17, 1981)
Princess Fala must choose one of the boys to reenact a celebration of the legend of a “love bridge” which connected the kingdom of Altea and Helena. “Hothead” gets the nod but the ceremony soon becomes a battle as Prince Sincline is determined to run the festivities with his Deathbeast “Galgo”. Will Princess Fala become another trophy in Prince Sincline’s harem?
Challenge from Space
Episode 17: Challenge from Space (Jun 24, 1981)
Planet Altea has long-standing rivalry with Planet Heracles that turns deadly when King Heracles conspired with Emporer Daibazaal to join forces and destroy Planet Altea. Heracles offers up his strongest son, Samson, to be turned into a Deathbeast and destroy GoLion. But during the battle, Sincline betrays Heracles and becomes infatuated with Princess Amue who bears a striking resemblance to Fala, and captures her. Her brother Prince Alor seeks the GoLion’s help in rescuing her and taking down the Galra Empire once and for all.
Footsteps in the Forest of Fear
Episode 18: Footsteps in the Forest of Fear (Jul 01, 1981)
Emperor Daibazaal is near death and the only cure, according to Honerva, is with the blood of a young girl. Prince Sincline goes to Altea and corners Fala by transforming the forest into monstrous trees which combine into a Beastman named Treeder who battles GoLion. Sincline decides to put his father out of his misery by offering him a poisonous formula but will it work?
The Mystery of Ghost Castle
Episode 19: The Mystery of Ghost Castle (Jun 10, 1981)
An earthquake on Altea reveals a legendary hidden castle which Shorty is sent inside to investigate where he finds some frightened local children. When Honerva’s cat Jaga is spotted inside the group realizes it’s all a trap! It’s up to Kogane and the rest of the GoLion team to stop Honerva and take down the Beastman!
Goodbye, Earth
Episode 20: Goodbye, Earth (Jun 17, 1981)
The GoLion team defies Raible and returns to Earth only to find it a shell of its former self and hours away from total destruction. Prince Sincline attacks them on Earth and almost succeeds only to be thwarted by Princess Fala. After the destruction of Earth and a battle with Beastman Batolda, Fala encourages them to think of the Planet Altea as their new home.
Altea's Sister Planet
Episode 21: Altea's Sister Planet (Jun 24, 1981)
A captured Princess Amue is determined to escape from Sincline’s dungeon. With some help from the GoLion team she is able to but things get complicated when Honerva disguises herself as Amue which leads to a prisoner exchange with Princess Fala. It’s up to Kogane to brave a blizzard and take on Sincline himself!
Phantom Space Flowers
Episode 22: Phantom Space Flowers (Jul 01, 1981)
Mysterious seeds fall from above and cause the Altean people to become deathly ill. Doctor Gior confirms the cure lies on the Planet Amazon. Moody takes the Blue Lion to the planet where he inadvertently offends the native princess Aimee and has to battle the King of the Amazons and a Galra trap set by Honerva and Sincline! Will Moody be able to survive and save both planets?
Friday the 13th
Episode 23: Friday the 13th (Jul 08, 1981)
Honverva plots to attack Altea on the thirteenth of the month as the GoLion team is enjoying a summer swim. Fala is disciplined for her choice of swimwear and is locked in her room during the battle only to be confronted by Sincline himself! When a giant Beastman named Kauman gets involved this will be a Friday the GoLion team will not forget!
Look for the Little Shadows
Episode 24: Look for the Little Shadows (Jul 15, 1981)
A pack of evil alien rats are sent to Castle Gradam to destroy it from the inside. It’s up to Fala’s mice to help save the day but the problems go from small to large when the evil rats combine to form a Beastman known as Catgun! Can the mice help save the day and win some cheese in the process?

Episode 25: Destroy the Giant Cannon! (Jul 22, 1981)
Emporer Daibazaal has a secret new weapon being developed on the Planet Mura in the form of a massive cannon capable of destroying even GoLion! Moody and Kogane infiltrate the planet and attempt to sabotage the project but encounter a former slave with a vengeance against Altea!
Defeat the Invisible Enemy
Episode 26: Defeat the Invisible Enemy (Jul 29, 1981)
The evil witch Honerva creates her deadliest Beastman yet with an added power of invisibility! The beast attacks Fala, Shorty, Hys and Fala in the forest as the group attempts to escape. Sincline raises the stakes when he grows the invisible into a monster size to take on GoLion itself!

Episode 27: Giant Beastman's Lullaby (Aug 05, 1981)
On the Planet Meduse, Honerva discovers a race of Gorgons who are able to turn enemies into stone by looking at them. Thinking this would make an excellent Beastman, they kidnap a female Gorgon and force her to fight the GoLion team. Instead the Gorgon takes Shorty and treats him as her own child due to his size. An enraged Sincline sends a backup Beastman to destroy the GoLion team and their new Gorgon ally as well!
The Demon's Birthday
Episode 28: The Demon's Birthday (Aug 05, 1981)
For his 106th birthday Sincline gets a present from his father Emporer Daibazaal of a gold statue that is to be constructed on the Planet Walbrane. The GoLion team inadvertently intercepts the cargo ship carrying the gift and must disguise themselves as Galra guards. When Sincline senses the ruse he captures the team and plans to make Fala his special birthday present…
Comes a Fiery Sky
Episode 29: Comes a Fiery Sky (Aug 12, 1981)
A fiery new Beastman approaches named Devilburn who is scorching the Planet Altea and hitting the land with an intense heat wave. The GoLion team springs into action but cannot form GoLion without water to power Blue Lion! Sincline uses this chance to try and capture Fala but Yellow Lion has a plan to dig deep for water to save the day.
The Prince Imperial's Dark Love
Episode 30: The Prince Imperial's Dark Love (Aug 19, 1981)
Sincline is haunted by a recurring dream in which his mother calls out to him only to be attacked by a demon. The Prince demands to know the truth about his mother from Emperor Daibazaal who is insisting Sincline marry Princess Sahlia from the Planet Galleria. Sincline decides he can have more than one wife and attacks Fala with a magic knife that sends her into a deep sleep. Believing her to be dead, the GoLion team vow revenge on Sincline.
The Dreaded Mecha Beastman
Episode 31: The Dreaded Mecha Beastman (Aug 26, 1981)
After challenging his own father to a duel for the throne, Sincline demands to be turned into a Beastman to defeat GoLion. Honerva tells them a new and improved armor coating she has created that will resist GoLion’s King Sword Jyuohken! Meanwhile, Altea launches an early warning satellite that quickly informs them of the impending Galra attack. With this new Beastman Lambda knowing all of GoLion’s weak points, will the team be able to survive?
Behold! The Hundred-Ton Punch
Episode 32: Behold! The Hundred-Ton Punch (Sep 02, 1981)
The GoLion team is training harder than ever to unlock the full potential of the GoLion robot especially Princess Fala who does not want to be the weak link of the team. A remodeled version of the Beastman Lambda, now named Gamma, is sent to attack Altea providing the team with some on the job training. Only after King Raible’s secret unlocking of the legendary “Four Lion Head Attack” is the team able to tap into GoLion’s incredible powers.
Terror of the Space Frogs
Episode 33: Terror of the Space Frogs (Sep 09, 1981)
Honerva develops a Beastman she hopes is capable of repelling the “Four Head Lion Attack” named Omega Subgar. To distract the GoLion team, a wave of killer space frogs is unleashed on Altea terrorizing the people. The Lions must take on the frogs before facing the Beastman itself. Will the frogs croak or will GoLion choke?
Underground Operation
Episode 34: Underground Operation (Sep 16, 1981)
Sincline plans to dig below the Castle Gradam, capture Princess Fala, and plant a massive bomb to destroy the castle and the GoLion team in it. The drilling is causing massive earthquakes which alerts Shorty to the danger who investigates along with the help of a local boy Mario but are soon captured and strapped to the bomb themselves. The rest of the GoLion team must rescue them before taking on a giant drill-machine Beastman named Delta!
Protect the Soccer Field
Episode 35: Protect the Soccer Field (Sep 23, 1981)
In a show of rebuilding and reunification, the GoLion team helps construct a soccer stadium for the youths of Altea. Meanwhile, Honerva creates a Beastman able to control the massive construction machine the GoLion team is using to build the stadium with! Will they be able to destroy the Beastman without harming any of the children inside the stadium?
Mortal Combat of Light and Shadow
Episode 36: Mortal Combat of Light and Shadow (Sep 30, 1981)
When Daibazaal demands Sincline take on GoLion himself, Sincline has Honerva create a clone of him to lead the Beastman into battle. Meanwhile, the GoLion team is affected by the short circuiting power of the Beastman “Deadzone” as Kogane leads an underwater charge to take out the Beastman before it can reach the castle. Kogane finds himself locked in a deadly duel with Sincline’s clone that he must defeat in order to form GoLion!

Episode 37: Space Speed Demon (Oct 07, 1981)
Emperor Daibazaal is impressed with a hot shot pilot of the Galra Air Force named Reggar who he recruits to pilot a Beastman against the GoLion team, hoping he may have the skills to outmaneuver the “Four Lion Head Attack”. After the initial attack by Reggar is successful, the GoLion team learns to beat Reggar at his own game by splitting apart the Lions but can they match this villain’s incredible speed?
GoLion Hunting
Episode 38: GoLion Hunting (Oct 14, 1981)
In a brutal maneuver, the Galra Empire launches the Death Commando squad to slaughter the Altean people in the night. The GoLion team finds the horrible aftermath of the mission as the Altean people storm the Castle Gradam demanding protection. Sensing a trap, Raible divides the citizens by neighborhood and the imposters are soon revealed but not before incapacitating the Black Lion! Can Kogane free the Black Lion and join the rest of the team against the Beastman “Kappa”?!

Episode 39: The Hypergravity Planetoid Trap (Oct 21, 1981)
Honerva gains control of Space Wolf, an invulnerable planetoid with the power of a black hole. But before she can crash the comet into Altea, Princess Amue warns the GoLion team of this impending doom. As Altea begins to feel the destructive effects of the comet, Prince Alor shows up to assist the GoLion team and join the battle but is it too late for GoLion?
No Tomorrow for Altea
Episode 40: No Tomorrow for Altea (Oct 28, 1981)
Prince Alor attempts to free GoLion from the crippling affects of the Space Wolf comet only to be knocked off course by a Galra attack fleet. Sincline orders a Mechablack Beastman to destroy GoLion but the mystical goddess who once split GoLion into five lions returns to redeem GoLion once more. Enraged at this turn of events, Sincline throws Amue into a pit of skulls for her act of defiance.
Brave Shirogane's Brother
Episode 41: Brave Shirogane's Brother (Nov 04, 1981)
Princess Amue is saved from the pit by Ryou Shirogane who is the brother of original Blue Lion pilot Takashi “Quiet” Shirogane. Upon learning of his brother’s fate, Ryou swears revenge against the Galra Empire and contacts Planet Altea informing Castle Gradam of the rescue of Amue. Honverva attempts to lure Amue out from hiding by torturing her people but instead they sacrifice themselves so she can escape. Once back on Planet Herecles the real battle will begin as Sincline uses a Beastman known as “Goddess of Hell” to battle GoLion!
The Sand Planet of Death
Episode 42: The Sand Planet of Death (Nov 11, 1981)
Honerva is attempting to turn some otherwise peaceful Sand Creatures into horrible Mechablack Beastmen! At the request of Raible’s friend Dr. Harvard, the GoLion team goes to thwart the plan as Fala befriends one of the Sand Creatures but is horrified when Sincline has it turned into a Beastman! Will the GoLion team survive Sincline’s dark magic sand tsunami?
Angry Youth Suicide Corp
Episode 43: Angry Youth Suicide Corp (Nov 18, 1981)
Sincline goes back to the Planet Amazon to re-conquer it bringing with him a Mecha Beastman Ypsilon. A group of orphans who lost parents in the battle form a resistance but are soon discovered by Honerva and are used as bait to lure GoLion to the planet. Kogane attempts a daring rescue of the children and somehow survives the booby-trapped blast through the mysterious power of GoLion!
The Planet Jarre Oath
Episode 44: The Planet Jarre Oath (Nov 25, 1981)
Planet Jarre is the latest planet to be inspired by the return of GoLion but their signal is intercepted by Galra and Honerva sends an evil doppelganger of GoLion to the planet instead. With the help of some children, the real GoLion is warned of the trap but soon a battle between two GoLion robots is on! Only through Kogane’s revelation that the evil GoLion is using computer calculations is the group able to out-think Honvera’s duplicate GoLion as they vow to keep fighting until all planets are free!
The Great Army of Darkness
Episode 45: The Great Army of Darkness (Dec 02, 1981)
Daibazaal has an ambitious plan to squash the planet’s uniting in resistance by creating an army of Mecha Beastmen produced at a factory on a secret Planet Midway. Princess Amue slips away from Planet Heracles in order to help Ryou organize a guerilla army against Galra and report their findings to the GoLion team on Altea. Ryou disguises himself as a Beastman and infiltrates the secret factory, revealing its location to the GoLion team who must take on an Ultra Giant Beastman Alpha and destroy the Beastman factory before it’s too late.
Fight Back, Space Mice
Episode 46: Fight Back, Space Mice (Dec 09, 1981)
After some unnatural earth tremors frighten them into action, the Castle Gradam mice (with help from Shorty) create their own robotic fighter unit to take on Honerva’s evil cat Jaga. While GoLion is trapped by a powerful underground Beastman known as Chi Granz, it’s up to the mice to launch a rescue mission!
The Seven Free Planets
Episode 47: The Seven Free Planets (Dec 16, 1981)
Raible hosts a meeting of the “Leo Alliance” made up of planets ready to revolt against the Galra Empire. The group wishes for Fala to pilot the Black Lion in GoLion and Kogane agrees to step down after the princess is properly trained. Daibazaal learns of this and along with Sincline begins to assassinate leaders of the rebel planets. Meanwhile, Sincline attempts a truce with Fala but instead locks swords with “Chief” Kogane and seriously injures the Black Lion pilot. Can Fala rise the occasion and form the head of GoLion without Kogane?
Reunion with the Phantom
Episode 48: Reunion with the Phantom (Dec 23, 1981)
A mysterious young man known as Saint rescues Princess Fala after her Lion crashes. Back at the Castle Gradam, Raible is convinced that Saint is indeed his long lost son who he had sent away years ago during an attack to the Planet Altea. But Saint is actually a resurrected agent of Galra and when he is left at the controls of Castle Gradam he keeps GoLion busy giving Sincline time to transport a powerful new weapon to Altea…
The Last of Hys
Episode 49: The Last of Hys (Dec 30, 1981)
In the continuation of episode 48, Sincline’s massive new weapon seemingly destroys GoLion – blasting the mighty robot apart. Raible realizes that Saint is in fact an agent of Galra and Princess Fala’s former nanny Hys is shot and killed by Saint! Raible gains control and orders a recon squad to locate the Lions as the GoLion team regroups and plans to destroy the giant gun before it can be fired again.
The Great Storming of Galra
Episode 50: The Great Storming of Galra (Jan 13, 1982)
Thanks to the GoLion team, Altea now has control of Sincline’s ultimate weapon and plan to use it to break through Planet Galra’s force field and take down Emperor Daibazaal once and for all. But after Daibazaal himself leads a surprise attack on Altea, Sincline has his own father arrested and turned into a Mecha Beastman!
GoLion's Desperate Battle
Episode 51: GoLion's Desperate Battle (Jan 20, 1982)
Go Lion goes one-on-one with the Mecha Beastman Daibazaal in an incredible battle. With some help from the spirit of Fala’s father King Raimon, Go Lion is victorious! In the heat of battle, Honerva betrays Sincline and helps out the GoLion team before being viciously killed by Sincline. Before she goes, Honverva reveals some disturbing family secrets: Honverva is in fact the mother of Daibazaal and Sincline’s mother was a human from Altea! The final battle is not over yet…
Burn Galra Castle
Episode 52: Burn Galra Castle (Feb 24, 1982)
With assistance from Princess Amue and Ryou Shirogane on the ground, the final assault is underway. Raible transforms Castle Gradam into a flying fortress to join the fight as Sincline’s officers beg to surrender but are ruthlessly destroyed by an enraged Sincline. As the Castle Galra begins to fall, Shirogane seeks personal revenge on Sincline for the death of his brother as the two fall from the top of the crumbling castle! With the universe free once again, GoLion is assembled as a shrine but the team skips the ceremony for some well earned relaxation and reflection…
