They are joined by Dermot O’Leary, who will be on hand to guide viewers and contestants alike through their X Factor journey, providing them with a word of advice or a much-needed hug as the contestants perform in front of the judging panel.

The Six Chair Challenge returns, promising amazing performances alongside agonising decisions for judges Robbie Williams, Ayda Williams, Louis Tomlinson and Simon Cowell, as they must each decide on the acts they will take through to their Judges' House. However, this year each judge has a golden button, which guarantees one act in their line-up a place in the final six, meaning that once they have a seat, they cannot be swapped out. Presented by Dermot O'Leary.
