The Young Doctors (1976)
The Young Doctors is an Australian early evening soap opera. The series was set in the fictional Albert Memorial hospital and primarily concerned with romances between younger members of the hospital staff, rather than typical medical issues and procedures. It screened on the Nine Network from Monday, 8 November 1976 until Wednesday, 30 March 1983.

Season 1:
Life continues in the busy Albert Memorial Hospital. Jim attends to Toby. Ada rearranges the kiosk. The new young interns find out what is involved being a new intern. Brain Denham returns from New Zealand. No one knows the injured boy is Toby until Brian sees him in casualty. The new interns party at Bunny's.
Laura decides to tell Brian the truth about her whereabouts on the night of Toby's accident. Edna Curtis, has an unexpected and unwanted visitor after a suicide attempt, her husband Frank!
Jill Gordon tells Helen of her intentions of becoming a nurse. Whilst in the hospital a midnight prowler causes some concern and confusion. Dennis discovers a long lost love. Greg flirts with Jo-Jo.
Jo-Jo Adams corners Craig Rothwell and gives him a piece of advice he should listen to if he wants to be a successful doctor. Raymond Shaw has to inform Brian of his findings with regard to Toby and Gail Henderson meets with Graham Steele for the first time and finds it not a pleasant experience.
The interns arrange an initiation ceremony involving Sister Grace Scott, but it goes wrong with disastrous results. Edna decides to talk to someone about the night of the accident, and her husband Frank takes matters into his own hands. Ada's gossip causes trouble.
Craig faces major surgery for the first time but not as a surgeon but as a patient. In Casualty, Gail Henderson finds out a bit of what makes Graham the way he is and about what he thinks of the new interns. Laura continues to worry.
