Nowadays, in a France where the monarchy has never been abolished, a plane crash costs the life of the entire royal family. Samia, a naive teacher without authority, learns that her son Cédric, a simpleton teenager born of a temporary union with a nobleman, is the heir to the throne. Now named Louis 28, Cédric has many projects for the kingdom such as "the abolition of math", but he will come up against the directives of a retrograde regent and ready to do anything to trip him up. Mother and son are thus propelled into a courtyard where these "toothless" are the object of all treachery.

Cédric must speak in front of his subjects for the first time during a speech. The Regent is looking for a way to control the young king, while keeping his mother away who risks causing a stain. In doing so, he overlooks a far more pressing threat.
As Samia returns to a Melun that will never be the same for her, Cédric discovers that he is the whipping boy of the Fontaine Show, her favorite show. It's not easy for the Regent to manipulate a king obsessed with these criticisms... Unless he knows how to take advantage of the situation!
A revolutionary group called Cédric a virgin. This is too much for the young monarch, who wants to prove his "manliness" to the people of France. The perfect opportunity for the Regent to torture Samia, by organizing an official denialization.

The Regent organizes a "Touching the scrofula" during which Cédric will use his divine power to heal the destitute... Samia tries to sympathize with the General, who begins to suspect the cardinal of a very serious crime.
The Archbishop thinks the palace has gone mad while attending the bachelor party of Cedric, who is about to marry a man. What are Saint-Avit, Samia and the others up to? A fool's game where everyone risks a lot!
Samia is sent to the palace jails after her failed coup. The council is dissolved and the Regent inherits full powers, but all may not be lost. Cédric and Flopi gather the troops to try to free Samia. And, in the jails, we often discover many secrets...
