Racso and J. Bickle take the beef between their mentors to a new level in a battle charged with fury, passion and disses. Gonzo wins the first round and moves to the battle of the victors. Later, we learn about Gonzo’s story, beginning with his home in Mexico where his grandparents instilled in him a passion for music.
The MCs are visited by Spanish freestyle legend Chuty, who arrives with some expert advice This ceremony sees the battles organized in duet format. Additionally, we dive into the backstory of J. Bickle, a Spanish MC who is ferociously loyal to his people. Meanwhile, “The Big Fish” squad has a difficult showing in the battle.
The five duets left standing must put on display what they learned from Chuty. Tension builds between mentors Kaiser and Dtoke. Skill shines in his battles, although his duet partner Nera Cheka has a rough go after being targeted by the rest of the MCs. After “El Potrero” emerges victorious, Skill faces a difficult decision that will end with one of his own leaving the competition.
DJ Atenea and DJ Soniko challenge the contestants to show their range over beats inspired by music from the 70s and 80s. Also, we learn about Jesús LC’s backstory in Spain. As the competition reaches its halfway point, the battle for survival is tweaked to increase difficulty. In this episode, MP shares his backstory and reveals the details of his philosophical approach that he calls “3000.”
The female MCs come together to air out their frustrations with the mentors, who only put them in battles with each other rather than mixing in battles with their male counterparts. A change in the format of the battle of squads leads to a revolt in which the MCs decide to turn the table on a new rule.
The female MCs finally have a chance to compete with their male counterparts as the battle of squads continues. Later, Skone confronts Kaiser after his vote once again shows a strategy that not all the mentors are cool with. After revealing where she comes from and what drew her into the world of freestyle, Litzy emerges triumphant in a battle with her friend Racso.
Still with all its MCs, Dtoke’s “El Potrero” fears that other mentors will vote against them in order to eliminate someone from their ranks, as they’ve been the strongest and most unified squad thus far. Another rule change is revealed — going forward each ceremony will see two MCs eliminated. Also, we get to know Argentine MC Barba Roja’s barrio.
The second phase of this ceremony tests the MCs’ skills by requiring them to freestyle about an unforgettable moment in their lives. Also, mentors are forced to recast their votes after a surprising tie. And we get to know Chilean MC Sedy, who uses his experience as a psychology student to analyze his opponents. Also, Skone and Dtoke clash over votes.
Two MCs face the prospect of being sent to the battle to the death in the second battle of the squads. Gaudy Mercy and Sedy are pushed to the brink of elimination after Kusa emerges as the clear winner. And Kusa and Gonzo are caught off guard after finding out that they can’t diss one another in their battle, and actually have to rap positively about the other.
Spanish visual artist Okuda San Miguel arrives with a message of embracing one’s identity and how to find inspiration in art. After the finalists choose their opponents, the battle for survival is set: Askel versus Venti, MP versus Sedy, Gonzo versus Barba Roja, and Kusa versus Jesús LC. Dtoke is confident that “El Heredero” will emerge from the ranks of “El Potrero.”
Competing in the coronation ceremony’s two battles to the death are MP versus Askel and Barba Roja versus Kusa. After fierce battles, Kusa and MP are left standing, but the two friends must deliver their best rhymes yet as they go head to head for the “El Heredero” crown.
