Season 1:
In one corner of bustling Singapore, an eclectic group of people on the bottom rung of society live their lives in the HDB flats.
Several households on Level 9 are disturbed by a scream at midnight. Ma Zhigang clashes with Weijie and makes a scene.
Granny Ma drags Zhigang to worship the 13th Goddess, but he remains greedy and lecherous. Lin Bang visits Xiuzhen, who gives him a frosty welcome.
Meiling is caught by Pao while trying to escape and the fight disturbs the neighbors. Mr. Fang comes to their rescue.
Zhigang hits on a married woman and ends up in trouble. Pao is very thankful to the neighbors as they strive to stop Meiling from leaving.
After her son Aloysius goes missing, Shumin throws a temper. Meiling and her boyfriend Roger run into Aloysius and plan to blackmail his parents.
Granny Ma's money is stolen by Zhigang who becomes Meiling and Roger's target. Later, Zhigang is scolded by the neighbors when he comes back home.
Xiuming does not meet Dingyi's shooting requirements. Guided by Dingyi, she starts to reveal her worries and true feelings.
Xiuming thanks Dingyi for his help with the stall at the night market. After receiving advice from Dingyi, Xiuming takes action accordingly.
The newspaper runs a story on the unexpected death of Uncle Chun, causing quite a stir. The power of the press gives Robert and Mary an idea.
Xiuming and Dingyi take Granny Ma to hospital while Zhigang could not care less. Dingyi makes a confession to Xiuming, but she has concerns.
Zhigang sets Xiuming up and she mistakenly beats up Dingyi. Nancy makes a scene when seeing Dingyi takes a rest at Xiuming's place.
Qianqian and Saman face pressure from Auntie Automatic, but Saman does not care. An accident subjects Saman and Qianqian to rumors.
Xiuming avoids Dingyi, who keeps pursuing her. Xiuming lies to Dingyi and asks Guang to help cover up her lie.
As Nancy clashes with Robert's household, the community leader Philip has to intervene. Kumar and his flatmate butt heads.
Unable to forget Dingyi, Xiuming falls sick. Xiuzhen attempts to approach Dingyi. Auntie Automatic is hospitalized. Qianqian tries to find a job.
Xiuming gives her blessing to Dingyi and Xiuzhen. Nancy works hard for Xiuzhen, whom does not appreciate it at all.
Auntie Automatic asks Qianqian to sell acar. However, Qianqian has to refund the money due to food safety issues.
To conceal Xiuzhen's identity, Nancy and Xiuming pretend not to know her. As Dingyi leaves for Shanghai, Xiuming thinks its difficult to see him again.
Auntie Automatic almost kills Saman, but Qianqian takes the blame and is confined at home.
When Meiling is in trouble, Pao comes to her rescue and gets injured. After receiving a complaint, Nancy is now under HDB's investigation.
Unwilling to get married, Zhigang takes advantage of Qianqian and Saman. But Xiaopei exposes his true motives.
Auntie Automatic's house is on fire, but she forgets the lock passcode. Mr. Fang comes to her rescue. Later, Qianqian is hospitalized.
Zhigang feels exhausted after the honeymoon with Xiaopei. Auntie Caixin makes a startling discovery in Nancy's flat toilet.
Shumin comes clean to Uncle Coffee and Auntie Coffee about the water vat. After saving Aloysius, Nancy seeks out Shumin for information.
Lin Bang and some others stalk Isabella and her lover to get the water vat back, who have an accident while trying to run away.
Saman and Zhigang butt heads and the police come to intervene. Qianqian falls into a trap set by Zhigang.
Pao assists Mr. Fang in stealing the water vat. Meiling, Pao and Roger save Lian, which leads to a breakthrough in the relationship of the family.
To win Qianqian back, Saman is determined to breakaway from Auntie Automatic, who later throws a fit and threatens to commit suicide.
A voice recording hits Dingyi hard. As Xiuzhen's identity is exposed, Dingyi realizes the reason of Xiuming's change of attitude.
