His idealistic approach puts him in tricky situations. Surviving a broken marriage. Closed ones taking advantage of him. A ruthless world that tries to bring him down. Season 1:
Mankameshwar Maurya is the ideal son that any family could hope for. The Maurya family is gearing up for his wedding. Will his marriage go as smoothly as Mannu always dreamed of?
The inspector informs the Maurya family that their daughter-in-law has run away with the gifted jewellery. Broken but not defeated, Mannu still keeps a positive outlook. Will the family manage to bail him out?
Life hands more lemons to Mannu when he finds out that he has been fired from his job for having a criminal history. He decides to carry his grandfather's legacy forward by reopening "Jai Mata Di Tent House".
When Mannu and his father are denied the business loan, they seek to reopen the tent house, Daddy offers to lend a hand. However, Daddy has a hidden agenda. Will Mannu take his offer?
Mannu calls Daddy and tells him that he will take up his offer. Daddy immediately organises his daughter's wedding with Mannu.
The Maurya family gets stunned to witness Mannu in wedding attire with his newly wedded wife. Mannu explains his reasoning for his actions to his grandmother. Will the Maurya family accept their new daughter-in-law?
Mannu wakes up early to make their bathroom shine like it's brand new for Gargi. Daddy shows up and gets acquainted with all the members of the Maurya family.
After some convincing from Mannu, Gargi reluctantly agrees to visit her father. Looking at Gargi's tantrums, Daddy tells her that one day she will realise that he made the right decision for her.
Deepu puts forth a different plan before the family members, but Mannu decides to go ahead without any partnerships. Later, Mannu spots Gargi with another man.
Gargi tells Mannu the truth about her relation with the man she was with and decides to elope with Vishwas. A devastated Mannu tries to stop Gargi from leaving. Will he succeed?
Gargi demands answers from Mannu as to why he visited her father. Later, Mannu asks Gargi to get ready and invite Vishwas to the Cathedral. What are Mannu's intentions?
Mannu convinces Vishwas that running away was not an option and he needs to give him six months time for him to arrange the money. Gargi insists that Vishwas listens to Mannu and his plan because she understands that if running away was so simple, they would have done it a long time ago.
Gargi and Mannu get to know each other better. While Vishwas gets beaten by the goons sent by Gargi's father. Mannu's family inaugurates their shop.
Gargi's father arrives at the pooja. Vishwas blames Mannu for being attacked. Gargi starts doubting Mannu after hearing Vishwas' story.
Gargi hands over the keys to Mannu on the first day of the shop. Jagdish and his men harass Mannu and ask him to pay more money for the shop. What will be the fate of his new shop?
Mannu and Gargi have a meaningful conversation on the terrace. Deepu comes with a bag full of money and offers it to Mannu for the shop. Later, Mannu's tempo gets towed away by the police. What will happen now?
Mannu scolds Gargi for calling her father to get him out of trouble, but Gargi gives it back to him. The family tries to arrange for money to save the shop. Mannu's sister comes up with a plan. Will her plan work?
Shyamlal asks his family members to check the bank account for a new deposit of seventy-five thousand rupees. But to their surprise, the bank statement shows that there was an outgoing transaction rather than an incoming one. It slowly settles in that they got scammed.
Mannu gets late for his meeting and loses out on his contract, as he assists Gargi to face her fear of injections. Deepu bags the contract and gets an offer to sabotage Mannu's career. Will he take the offer?
Deepu returns home drunk after losing out on the contract, which automatically goes to Mannu. Later, Mannu shares the floor plan with Gargi and is impressed by her suggestion for the same.
Deepu overhears his sister warning Mannu to be wary of him. Gargi visits Mannu at the site and shares her concerns about Vishwas, who happens to see Mannu comfort Gargi.
Mannu gets into a fistfight with Vishwas and lands up at a clinic to treat the wounds. When Mannu gets back to the site, he finds everything burning down. Will Deepak come clean about the incident?
With the MLA's goons closing in on the Maurya's residence, Daddy arrives with reinforcements to help his family. After Deepak arrives, Kanak questions him about his involvement in the arson.
The fight between Deepak and Kanak continues till Dadi intervenes. Daddy arrives bearing gifts and tries to cheer everyone up.
Mannu threatens Vishwas with the hope that he stops misbehaving with Gargi. Kanak raises her issues when Deewakar's Mausaji arrives with an invitation and cash for the entire family.
Everyone tries to convince Kanak to accept the invitation from Deewakar's house. Kanak's fears come true when Mausaji leaves no opportunity to insult the Maurya family at the party.
Deewakar's Mausaji blames his wife and Shyamlal for stealing money from his account. After things get out of hand, Gargi voices her opinion for the first time and supports Shyamlal.
Gargi and Shyamlal have a heartwarming conversation over a cup of tea. Gargi decides to tag along with Mannu to pay Deewakar's Mausaji a visit.
Gargi rejects Dadiji's proposal of joining Mannu's tent house business. The Maurya family celebrates Mannu's success by playing a game of musical chairs.
Mannu handles Gargi, who has had one too many drinks during the celebration. The next morning, Dadiji catches Shyamlal, Deepak and Deewakar and confronts them about the alcohol.
The Mauryas are left in tatters when they find out that the business account got heavily penalised. After Gargi agrees to join Mannu's venture, they spend time discussing how to handle the finances.
Vishwas visits Mannu's shop and reminds Gargi that it is his birthday today. Gargi, who can not meet her boyfriend on his birthday, takes her frustration out on Mannu.
Mannu and Gargi attend the first Holi pooja together after their marriage. The Maurya family and their relatives get together and celebrate the festival of colours.
After faking his kidnapping, Vishwas moves into Mannu's house. Daddy leaves Maurya residence with tears in his eyes as Gargi refuses to play Holi with him.
Mannu warns Vishwas against cheating and using Gargi for Daddy's money. To force the matter, Vishwas pretends to consume poison. Will Mannu manage to break the truth to Mannu?
Mannu confronts Daddy and asks him the truth about Vishwas. After discovering the truth, Mannu decides to introduce Vishwas to his family and let him stay at his house. What is Mannu plotting?
