Doña Hortensia sees her life turned upside down with the return of her beloved son, Carlitos, who after 15 years of absence decides to return to Ecuador in the company of his wife. For him, as for everyone, this will cause an inner disorder that will make them question his life and his true desires.

Season 1:
Everyone is excited about the big party, especially Mrs. Hortensia and Sarita, her goddaughter who, being Carlitos's ex-girlfriend, has mixed feelings and begins to fear the reunion.
Sarita and Doña Hortensia take Lucy and the children on a walk through the city. Yolanda suspects that Diego is being unfaithful to her and seeks help to try to save her marriage.
Carlos surprises his family with an apartment, but he doesn't take into account the problems that this will bring. In addition Sara faces a dilemma which includes Carlos.
Diego makes amends with Carlos while Sara vents with Yolanda. Lucy denies more and more about her situation in Ecuador.
Carlitos and Comadre Finita are following Doña Hortensia's footsteps. Lucy unburdens herself to Yolanda about her relationship with Carlos and her loneliness in the country while Yolanda receives a very mysterious letter.
Diego finds out that the business he is about to do is shady. Yolandita messes up when trying to help Lucy while she tells her friend Finita and Carlitos, disguise themselves to follow Doña Hortensia through the city.
Doña Hortensia takes Carlos and Comadre Finita to the emergency room, Lucy and Yolanda go to the hospital. Sara leaves the children in charge of Pepe who has a message from Diego who is in Ipiales.
Doña Hortensia, Sarita and Yolanda are waiting for news about Carlos, Pepe must deal with all the children while a new character is about to enter the story.
Doña Hortensia and Sarita receive bad news about Carlitos' condition. Pepe must deal with bad thoughts while Diego returns from one shady business to enter another.
A priest arrives to give the holy oils to Carlos while Doña Hortensia asks the Divine Child so that her son's health improves.
Yolanda tells Sarita about her problem with the anonymous letters about Diego while Doña Hortensia makes things clear to Don Guillermo.
News arrives about the result of Carlos' operation while Don Guillermo tries to win Doña Hortensia's heart.
Diego makes good use of the money earned and looks for more business. Carlos finally reacts and talks to Doña Hortensia.
Don Guillermo serenades Doña Hortensia while Sarita prepares for her appointment with Dr. Ricardo.
Carlos returns home to finish his recovery and Doña Hortensia prepares a welcome lunch. Doctor Ricardo considers his future with Sarita.
