Season 1:
Eun Yong has led a rough life since losing his parents at a young age. His goal is to live a happy life with his sister Ji-hee and her son Tae-chun. After making a great fortune and living in Mongolia free from worldly cares, Eun returns to Korea to protect the ones he loves.
CEO Yoon was a ray of light to Eun Yong, who had been living his life in darkness. She and her daughter Joon-gyeong were his second family to him. Eun has doubts about Yoon's death when he realizes that something isn't right.
After 10 years, Joon-gyeong and Eun Yong finally re-connect. Eun Yong hears from Joon-gyeong the real story behind CEO Yoon's death. Special Investigations prosecutor Gi-seok makes Tae-chun an offer that he can't refuse.
Eun Yong's strategy to bring down Chairman Myung has begun, while Joon-gyeong and Tae-chun plan on turning the situation on its head in their own ways. Eventually, Chairman Myung and Gi-seok retaliate with their own powerful counterattacks.
Eun Yong barely survives a life-threatening crisis. He calls on Joon-gyeong and Tae-chun to devise a new strategy. The situation takes a new turn when Joon-gyeong speaks at a press conference.
Eun Yong turn himself in, to be the bait. However, because of Chairman Myung's scheme, he is suddenly accused of murder. Tae-chun desperately asks Joon-gyeong for help to save Eun Yong.
Crisis is another opportunity. Eun Yong sharpens his sword of revenge while in prison. Joon-gyeong wakes up from coma, and Tae-chun is constantly on the move to find leads on his own.
Eun Yong offers Gi-seok a deal. As a result, Tae-chun returns to Prosecution Service once his suspension ends. While pretending to lower their heads, Eun Yong and Tae-chun bide time for another counterattack. Meanwhile, Joon-gyeong begins to plot her own cold revenge.
Eun Yong feels defeated by Chairman Myung's unexpected counterattack. However, he calmly prepares for an opportunity to strike back at Chairman Myung and Gi-seok. Eun Yong sets a trap and waits for the perfect timing. Finally, the opportunity arrives to turn the tide of this war.
Eun Yong makes Se-hee a secret proposal to motivate Gi-seok, who then sees hope for his ambitions again. Is it money or is it power? Gi-seok finds himself at crossroads. In the end, the disgraced prosecutor makes his final decision.
Push comes to shove, and Gi-seok agrees to play along as Eun Yong's pawn, while gunning for his own comeback. Gi-seok's press conference related to Bawoo Fund succeeds in coinciding with his entire agenda. Corruption and justice swirl and collide, and a gunless war finally begins.
Giseok's endless greed runs rampant. Joon-gyeong, Tae-chun, and Eun Yong promise to fight against him to the end, but their different methods to deliver justice violently collide in the final battle. Finally, cartels of power and money begin to collapse.
