Season 1:
On the 1983 Federal election night, Labor wins by a landslide and Bob Hawke becomes the new Prime Minister. On Oxford Street, there is an eruption of celebration - this could mean a big step forward in the fight for equality.
David convinces Jeremy that the government should support the community response to the worsening crisis, but will the community be willing to trust them?
A new wave of hatred against the gay community, fueled by increasing blame and fear in the media, sees a spike in violence against gay people. With AIDS now in the blood banks, fear and prejudice spiral out of control.
With infections rising rapidly, and threatening the broader population, David and Jeremy adopt a bold new approach - terrifying people into paying attention.
