Season 1:
Working as police officers in Rovaniemi, Maria and her colleague Samu are mostly used to dealing with petty crimes. But when a man is found shot dead in the middle of nowhere, their work becomes more difficult. Maria has just decided to give up her boxing career, but suddenly her brother shows up and asks her to go to a fight to solve an urgent family problem.
A fire breaks out during a concert. What first appears to be an isolated incident turns out to be a pattern and the perpetrator seems to be following the artist Amanda on her tour around Finland. Meanwhile, Niko has, as usual, over-promised. But just when he thinks the battle is lost, Maria decides to resume her boxing career. But she doesn't dare reveal anything about it to Essi.
A number of rapes are reported in the district, with the perpetrator entering the victims' homes. But there are no signs of intrusion, and the police begin to question the testimonies. By chance, Maria discovers how the mysterious offender seems to be able to walk through locked doors. The atmosphere at Maria's house is frosty. Maria continues to keep the training secret, but Essi suspects that something is going on.
Maria and Samu once again come across an unusual criminal: a suggestible type who orders large amounts of food in various hotels and restaurants but never wants to pay for it. Maria uses an unusual method to bring the criminal to justice. Niko continues to screw up and the press conference for Maria's comeback fight is a fiasco. Essi accepts Maria's boxing dream, but is frustrated that she seems to weigh so lightly in Maria's life.
When a young woman tries to remove evidence after an accident, she digs a deeper and deeper hole for herself. Maria and Samu work on the case, which turns out to be more difficult than they thought. Essi takes on the role of Maria's medical advisor, which annoys Esko, and he and Essi clash over training methods. At the same time, Esko tries unsuccessfully to get his loan deferred. He puts more and more pressure on Maria, who feels pressured from all sides.
When two brothers are murdered in their own home, Maria and Samu are once again faced with some strange characters in the odd police district. It also turns out that the murdered brothers were rich. Niko and Essi secretly start looking for a new coach for Maria while Niko tries to make his own deals with Maria's opponents.
Maria comes into contact with a mother whose son is being bullied at school. When she tries to solve the problem, she only makes it worse. As everyone in the family wants a say in Maria's match, tensions run high. Niko and Stefan don't agree with the opposing manager on the terms, and another family argument breaks out. It is also revealed why Maria gave up her boxing career.
The big game is approaching, but the atmosphere in the family is tense. So Maria devotes herself to her work. Maria and Samu receive a call about a suspected murder in a remote village. At the scene, there is a commotion and Maria almost misses her match.
