Ji Hyun is a freshman at a university in Seoul. He comes from a small rural town and is used to living in the quiet countryside. He struggles to form meaningful relationships, and moving to the busy South Korean capital has left him feeling disorientated and confused. The older Jae Won, meanwhile, is now returning to Seoul – and the same university – after completing his mandatory military service.

Season 1:
Ji Hyun is a freshman who moves to Seoul and finds himself intrigued by Jae Won, a senior he meets at work. Joining the university surf club, Ji Hyun hopes to catch Jae Won's attention. Will he ride the waves to love or wipe out?
On their first surfing trip, Jae Won coaches Ji Hyun, coaxing him out of his shell. But Eun Ji's presence puts Jae Won on edge. Then, a boozy night cements a connection between Jae Won and Ji Hyun.
After a brief moment of connection, Jae Won bolts, leaving Ji Hyun confused. Back on land, Ji Hyun is unsure about his feelings until a chance encounter with Jae Won brings them closer.
While collaborating on a project, Eun Ji spots Ji Hyun's growing bond with Jae Won. Visiting Ji Hyun's workplace, she sparks a fight, until he finds solace in Jae Won.
Surf club dinner gets messy: Jae Won gets drunk, and Ji Hyun takes him home, where he is faced with his past grief. Only the ocean and Ji Hyun can soothe Jae Won's turmoil.
Jae Won finds calm with Ji Hyun by his side, as they bare their souls and explore the coast. But as the sky darkens, the waves rise, and Jae Won's past looms, threatening to take Ji Hyun away.
After the surfing club loses university approval, Jae Won lashes out at Tae Hyung. Eun Ji seizes the opportunity to edge closer. Ji Hyun returns to normal life, but can't shake his feelings for Jae Won.
Ji Hyun stands up for Jae Won, finding new confidence and security in their bond. Worlds collide, testing his resilience.
Jae Won seeks counsel from an unlikely source and as his past haunts him, Ji Hyun must help him face it to reconnect.
