Will Joko have to switch to eating cabbage and turnips now? Joko searches for solutions – and he shares his experiences over dinner with four guests, each of whom brings a unique perspective on our food and the climate crisis to the table.
The climate crisis is unfair. It affects most those who have contributed to it the least. On his journey through parts of Africa, Joko observes the consequences of climate change everywhere, looks at solutions that come from the Global South itself and almost becomes a Ugandan movie star in the process.
Joko is plagued by doubt: Is change even possible in our system of endless growth? System change instead of climate change? Joko is looking for alternatives. Green growth would be the solution that unites economic growth and climate protection, according to some. Others disagree. So what's the truth?
