When physicist Sophie Clarke builds a strange machine from long-lost scientific plans she unwittingly transports Nikola Tesla to modern-day London. Unfortunately Tesla brings another historical figure along with him: an autocratic automaton.

Season 2:
Physics student Harriet Goldring convinces Dr. Sophie Clarke to try using the Special Magnifying Receiver, in spite of Sophie's misgivings.
Harriet invents a pair of 4-D glasses which lead her to the Bearded Stranger. He introduces her to the mysterious and powerful Colossus Machina, and makes her an offer she can't refuse.
Sophie and Alonso search for Harriet, who joins Nikola Tesla on a journey to an alternate universe.
Harriet calls out Tesla on his multi universal business dealings. Trapped inside the Multiverse Unification Agency, Alonso encounters strange happenings.
With Alonso's life in danger, Harriet and Tesla confront Theon of the Twelfth. In spite of her fears, Sophie fires up Transmitter X.
Alonso's rescue is interrupted by the Vaporization End Times.
