Season 1:
After losing hope of becoming a mathematician, Gaku Kitada is approached by a famous chef while cooking part-time in his high school’s dining hall.
Given just one week to earn his fellow staff members’ approval, Gaku is overwhelmed by the restaurant’s hectic kitchen. Nene gives him a helpful tip.
After he's tasked with creating a dish for two important guests, Gaku is surprised when a familiar fellow math enthusiast arrives at the restaurant.
Determined to receive an influential food critic’s highest praise, Kai tasks Gaku with preparing an appetizer and Ranna with making the main course.
Kai fires Ranna, much to Gaku’s shock. After bringing a proposal to Kai’s shirtless investor, Saimon approaches Ranna with an enticing offer.
