Woobinda: Animal Doctor (1969)
Children's TV series set in a fictional rural town in New South Wales, Australia, following the adventures of veterinarian John Stevens and his team. The aborigines call Stevens Woobinda, animal doctor.

Season 1:
A raging bushfire threatens the life of a runaway boy, and of Kevin and the boy's mother who have gone to look for him. All three are trapped by the fire.

The late eccentric master's nephew, Willy, has some gambling debts which need urgent attention, and his attempts to liquidate the cat and claim the money do not succeed. When he tries to push it over a quarry, he himself falls down and has to be rescued; when he tries to drown it in a dam, he ends up floundering for his life; and when he abandons it in a remote forest, the cat uncannily finds its way back, just in time to stop Willy getting his clutches on the money.
A valuable thoroughbred horse escapes from its horsebox after a road accident, and Kevin goes out to search for it.
