Season 1:
As Vegas grows into an entertainment and gambling mecca for tourists, mob syndicates, and performers, the city reflects the social ideals of the era.
The 60s marked the rise of counterculture, contrasting with the overt sexuality of Vegas. While Elvis Presley thrived in his peak years, the mafia faced their first government crackdown.
Vegas is on the decline in the 1970s, as corporatization drives away most major performers and Elvis Presley is caught in a grueling schedule of performing.
The strip explodes with new Disney-fied hotels, casinos, and megastars, highlighting the evolution and continual reinvention of the strip in the face of difficulty.
