Tjoppie cannot contain his jealousy anymore, and has a lot to say when he catches Debbie-Lee red-handed. Debbie-Lee unknowingly gives in to a red flag. Veronique’s plans take an unexpected turn when she is bound to her circumstances.
Edmund and Shireen struggle to agree on how to take on the future. Veronique realises that, for the first time in a long while, her future - and her survival! - is in someone else’s hands, and Dr Pienaar is not a man that will allow anyone to mess with him. Edmund’s complicated emotions hurt Shireen when she becomes the target of his inner turmoil. Veronique can, eventually, listen to what she so desperately wanted to find – without having to be worried about her own safety. Tjoppie’s plan for Debbie-Lee doesn’t exactly go according to plan.
Shireen makes a drastic decision after she has had enough of Edmund’s emotional behavior – and her decision stuns Edmund. Jason is not entirely sure whether he will be telling his dad who he'll be taking to the matric farewell. The puzzle pieces are falling into place for Veronique and she decides to show Octavia her trump card – as well as what it will cost Octavia to make the trump card disappear.
Hermien is back in full force on Soebatskloof, and the first thing she does it to put Octavia in her place. Marco thinks he might have a solution to Jason’s dilemma, but CJ’s plans for a date for the matric farewell don't work out the way that he wants them to. Veronique finds out about Debbie-Lee’s cooking course – and her newest love interest. Octavia makes a call to London – and then makes another shocking announcement.
Hermien shares a few words of wisdom with Edmund, while Shireen and Annette have the same type of problems. Phillip offers to make a very insecure Mercy a dress for the matric farewell. Junior receives some very upsetting news, while Veronique is shocked to her core when a ghost from the past appears to her in broad daylight. Shireen makes a decision regarding her marriage.
It is very clear that Hermien and Octavia do not get along, especially when Octavia tries to make Hermien feel guilty about not being there for Annette in the recent past. Edmund tries his best to repair what he has broken, but in the process he needs to fill Nenna in on what has been going on. Veronique's solution for her problem causes more chaos when the lives of CJ and Marco are threatened. The matric farewell is stirring up a lot of emotions for Mercy, and she comes to a decision about what she wants to do next in her life.
Veronique gives Elroy an assignment that will shift their focus to Soebatskloof - to ensure that the cellar is placed under pressure. Octavia’s reaction to Junior’s news is not what one would expect, while Hermien’s motherly instinct kicks into high gear. Shireen isn’t completely sure about what she should do next, and she takes Alison into her confidence. Veronique takes Mercy to task concerning CJ.
There are huge problems on Soebatskloof when Edmund finds out that the power outages could last up to two weeks - but it is not just the power cables that are causing problems for him. Junior has a tough time as the new chapter in his life starts – and it isn’t just because Octavia who can’t stand to be around him. Mercy is not impressed by Jason’s plans for the future, and Phillip causes concern for Mercy regarding her dress when feathers give Phillip inspiration.
Phillip eventually shows Mercy her matric farewell dress, while Edmund does everything in his power to solve the problems that are slowly killing Soebatskloof. Veronique realises that her plans will not just break Edmund. Sandy doesn’t handle Junior’s news very well, while Hermien shows up to support him. Shireen words her fears – and expresses them towards Alison. Jason wants to work on his relationship with Spook.
Edmund realises that Soebatskloof has bigger problems than what he imagined. Junior and Octavia have a huge falling out – and she makes a decision that has a bigger affect on Junior than what he would like to acknowledge. At long last the matric farewell is taking place, and everyone on Soebatskloof is excited for the matriculants and their partners to celebrate this big night. Veronique discovers something about Elroy, and decides to confront him about it – but, unfortunately, they are not alone during their standoff.
The partygoers are blissfully unaware of the dark cloud forming over Soebatskloof - until they hear the sirens. Veronique does what any mother would do: she takes charge of CJ’s future – she needs to find out if any words were spoken that could contradict her plan. Spook arrests the guilty party, while everyone else from Soebatskloof congregates at the hospital to hear the latest developments.
CJ has nightmares, and he struggles to make peace with his actions and his conscience. Jason thinks something is wrong with CJ. Hermien and Octavia are trying to call each other out on who is really there for Junior, while Junior’s attention needs to be refocused during his therapy. There is good and bad news from the hospital, and everyone is holding thumbs for the best outcome. Elroy’s loyalty is clearly not with Veronique, and Veronique has to dig deep to find words of encouragement that will inspire CJ…
A waterpipe bursts and Soebatskloof also now has to deal with a water crisis on top of the ongoing power outage. CJ doesn’t want to be friends with Jason anymore - and then does the unthinkable. Junior is deeply disappointed in Octavia, and makes a decision regarding her place in his life. Veronique introduces Edmund to a potential investor: Anton Havenga.
The news from the hospital touches every inhabitant of Soebatskloof. Hermien finds Junior on the floor and Joey comes to the rescue – and later on Tjoppie hears what is really going on. Edmund eventually meets Anton, and is less stressed when it seems that Anton and Senior knew each other. CJ has a panic attack when Mercy’s phone starts to ring.
The people of Soebatskloof are struggling to make peace with what has happened: Phillip, Jason, and Armand struggle the most. CJ’s guilty feelings unsettle Veronique and Tjoppie. Edmund is stressed when he can’t get hold of Anton. Debbie-Lee has to defend Elroy’s strange behavior. Veronique and Anton’s relationship sours because of his advice on how to deal with Edmund.
It is time to say goodbye during the memorial service, but CJ refuses to go. Junior is starting to rely on Hermien for support - a lot. Hermien speaks to Shireen about Junior, and they both agree on what they think Junior needs. Jason makes his heartfelt words count, while Elroy has prepared a beautiful story on why he will be absent from the memorial service.
The focus drastically centres on Tjoppie in the aftermath of CJ’s words. A visibly livid Tjoppie wants to right all the wrongs, and confronts Veronique. Debbie-Lee is very concerned about Tjoppie when he cries in her arms before he leaves for the police station. Tjoppie wants to speak to Bismarck, and CJ wants to say ‘bon voyage’ to his life on Soebatskloof.
Veronique and CJ are extremely worried that Tjoppie might do something foolish after he finds out the complete truth regarding Mercy - and CJ makes a decision about what he should do next in life.
Tjoppie tries his best to get through to CJ and is shocked to realize that there are a lot of things that have been hidden from him. Anton ensures that he starts entrenching himself into Edmund’s life. Sandy wants to have a serious talk with Elroy - and she has a plan to ensure that Debbie-Lee doesn’t have to make a choice between her relationship and her family. Veronique forms an idea on how to keep Elroy under her spell when she sees something that she shouldn’t.
Phillip and Allison’s first meeting is a bit uncomfortable. Edmund receives a message that doesn’t make sense to him. Junior might not be ready for the road ahead, and Sandy and Joey are very concerned about Debbie-Lee’s relationship. Veronique gives her henchman a deadly task, and Debbie-Lee is not a fan of cheap perfume.
Debbie-Lee wants to keep the previous night’s incident to Captain Spook. CJ’s guilt takes center stage - and leads him to want more than just a tipple. Veronique receives an unexpected guest. Allistair’s idea gets Edmund very excited - and Edmund thinks they have to involve Hermien. Dewald starts to woo Sandy again.
Tjoppie’s plan to help CJ involves letters. Debbie-Lee makes a shocking discovery regarding Elroy after she opens her heart completely to him. Allison officially begins to work as Junior’s caretaker. Dewald turns on the charm to get another date with Sandy. Veronique convinces Edmund to have her take a look at the farm’s books.
Edmund is very impressed with Veronique’s plan - so much so that he promises to talk to Dewald and Rijk about getting her access to the farm’s accounts. Veronique is shocked by Allistair’s new plan, as it involves Hermien. CJ and Tjoppie return to Soebatskloof. Debbie-Lee makes a decision regarding Elroy after she has spoken to Shireen.
Kietie’s antics take Dewald and Sandy to the hospital, and it is very clear that Kittie will do anything to ensure she is the only woman in Dewald’s life. An unknown person asks questions about Mercy - and Jason and Marco are shocked when they find out who it is. Edmund’s trust in Anton is wavering, and he words it to Shireen. Allison asks the family to reach out to Junior.
Marco thinks Grace is asking too many questions. Dewald asks Sandy a big question - and then Sandy meets Fransie for the first time. Edmund discusses his concerns regarding Anton with Dewald, and Dewald promises to do his homework on Anton Havenga. Veronique is not happy about Allison moving closer to Junior, and she observes how Anton is making an impression on Hermien.
Grace meets Phillip - and hears the finer details of Mercy’s accident. Hermien and Anton’s bond grows stronger, despite Rijk trying to warn her against the man. Dewald gets it from Fransie, while Joey also has a lot to say about Sandy’s love life. Allistair asks Elroy for an ‘accident’.
An accident is the least of Dewald’s concerns when Fransie and Kittie decide to form an alliance to curb his happiness. Napoleon distrusts Grace - and then more people find out who she really is. Joey clears the air with Dewald. Anton burrows his way deeper into the Marais family. Octavia is urgently looking for Dr Pienaar.
Allistair is furious with Veronique for what she did. Armand warns Grace against CJ, but it has the opposite effect consequently. After Hermien finds Junior on the floor again, she begs Allison to care for him full-time. Joey and Debbie-Lee insist that Grace stays with them.
Hermien and Anton share an intimate moment. Veronique gets her henchman to help her outsmart Allistair - and she starts by hiding her injuries. Allison brings out the best in Junior, while Grace stands in for the cleaners at the Marais-house - and it is very clear that she and CJ don’t see eye to eye. Hermien and Allison are taken aback when Junior is summoned to Dr Pienaar’s practice.
Junior doesn’t understand how Hermien could not have known about Octavia’s phobia. Veronique tries to make peace with Allistair and tells him that she is done playing her games. Sandy decides to put Fransie in her place, and Dewald supports her - but Kittie has had enough of this whole business. CJ sees Grace in a completely different light after he reads what she wrote in her notebook. Junior receives news regarding his battle with cancer.
Veronique tries to find Patricia, in the hopes that she will be able to help her deal with Allistair. Hermien is looking forward to the auction, and Junior is looking to the past for answers: he wants to find out what happened in the tie that Octavia left the farm. CJ tells Grace almost everything regarding Mercy’s last few hours, while Joey warns Grace about CJ. Dewald is not going to dance to Kittie’s drum, but then Sandy has an idea that sounds really good to him.
Emotions run high when Bismarck hears what his future looks like. Edmund informs Dewald and Rijk of another suspicious transaction that makes him wonder what is going on. Allistair’s past finally catches up with him at the auction, and he struggles to not break character in front of Patricia. Dewald and Sandy get a nasty surprise: Dewald’s bags have been packed for him. Marco struggles to hide the truth from Grace. Veronique is shocked in Junior: he lets her know that he no longer has any need for her.

Hermien is also highly suspicious of Anton and asks Rijk to do some digging - and Rijk’s feedback is anything but positive.
