Yous & Yay in the Wild (2024)
Yous and Yay receive guests they admire and explore their inspiration and motivations in personal conversations. Yous and Yay delve deeper into the fascinations of their conversation partners via rabbit holes. These take the viewer to the history of the Wuppies, the French cult film ‘La Haine’, street poetry in Rotterdam, the video clips of Missy Elliott and the cultural heritage of the song ‘You’ll never walk alone’. Each and every one of them is a side path that surprises, amazes, provides context or inspires. Yous and Yay, the two homo universales of the Dutch cultural scene, have been pioneering creators for years within and outside their own range of disciplines (music, literature, film, graphic design). Yous & Yay in the wild abandons the idea of what a cultural programme should be and navigates right through all genres, disciplines and other cultural pigeonholes.

Season 1:
Froukje and S10 are not only standing at the top of Dutch pop music together, they are also best friends. A friendship that started at a Christmas dinner and brings them to the biggest stages in the country through metal t-shirts, Fleabag, proppers in Mallorca, Tommy Wieringa ft. KA and Stromae.
Kevin feels at home in Rotterdam, in Liverpool, in The Notebook and between his platinum records. Or anywhere where Vanessa Carlton's A Thousand Miles blasts from the speakers. A boat trip home along Kevin's football career, street poetry in Rotterdam and his route to success.
Achmed Akkabi is still hungry. His mapped out triumphal march through the film industry made him an actor in and producer of the most successful series and films in the Netherlands. That might never have happened without the Wuppies and La Haine.
Daria Bukvić is a leading theatre and film director who reflects her social commitment in all her work. She wants nothing less than to change the world, but the clips of Missy Elliott, V for Vendetta and the Rolling Stones of the Balkans are allowed to remain.
