The Brothers McGregor (1985)
Liverpool-set sitcom about black and white half-brothers Wesley and Cyril who run an extremely dodgy second-hand car business. The series is a spin-off of ITV soap opera Coronation Street, featuring two characters that originally appeared in the soap for one episode in May 1982. Unable to get Carl Chase and Tony Osoba back to play the roles, Philip Whitchurch and Paul Barber were cast instead.

Season 4:
Cyril's obsession with his 'stars' lead him and Ma to have a reading. Believing a seance will resolve her unhappy marital status, the psychic reveals whilst lapsing into his ventriloquism act deception afoot.
Glenys is convinced commitment can be achieved by suspending Cyril's bedroom benefits. Abstaining from lusting after women improves his singing. Wesley notices this, but what can he exploit it to the tune of?
Wesley needs to impress a wealthy American industrialist.
Wesley agrees a boxing match between Cyril and a customers' 'second' will settle their returns policy. 'A Ma has to do what a Ma has to do for her son. But which fighter will have the guts?
Cyril attempts to break the world record for continuous singing to support Wesley's new charity, aptly named Deaf Aid.
Being banned from driving affects Cyril more than anyone expected.
