It’s the year 2100, and the moon is now home to a colony of scientists and pioneers. It’s also host to dangerous experiments into strange new forms of energy, and it isn’t long before one of them goes terribly wrong. In a freak accident young Kurau, the daughter of chief scientist Amami So, is struck by mysterious twin bolts of light. Rather than taking her life, the accident leaves her playing host to two mysterious entities that give her fantastic powers…and little love for the human race.

Season 1:
Years ago, a tragic accident led to Kurau's possession by a Rynax. Now an adult, the Rynax powers she acquired so long ago have made her an unstoppable agent.
Kurau's latest case forces her to protect a detestable young bridegroom.
Kurau takes on an extremely dangerous assignment, rescuing a space pilot whose spaceship has gone out of control. There are complications, however. Kurau and Christmas are being watched by the GPO, the police department of the future, and a blonde man, who apparently is a private agent.
Kurau and Christmas are on the run from the GPO and must leave their old life behind. Kurau gets a job as an agent with a new company, going after a gang of art thieves. When Kurau's new partner is captured, she is forced to rescue him.
Kurau convalesces from her injuries incurred in her previous case. Christmas takes care of her, doing the cooking and the shopping. Meanwhile, Kurau's father, is forced to use his scientific knowledge of Rynax energy to help the GPO. The GPO hunts a stray Rynax, while Doug hunts for any signs of Kurau, since she vanished from his surveillance.
The GPO sets a trap to capture Kurau. Doug, the blonde agent, befriends Christmas and Kurau.
Christmas and Kurau flee to a seaside town, with the help of Doug, where they get jobs working in a restaurant.
Kurau gets volunteered to be a POD pilot in the local games. We find out why Ayaka hates the holiday of Christmas.
Using false identities, Christmas and Kurau flee to Los Angeles. They discover a Rynax energy plant nearby and Kurau decides to investigate. However the GPO has managed to follow them to LA, and the pair find themselves cornered by the GPO.
The GPO sets a trap for Kurau, when Kurau travels to the moon to rescue Christmas.
Ayaka interviews Doug to find out the location of Kurau and Christmas. Meanwhile, Kurau tries to heal people who have been injured by Rynax energy.
Kurau and Christmas escape from the moon on a spaceship piloted by Kurau's friend, Jose. However, the ship is boarded by space pirates.
Kurau and Christmas find a safe haven, living with their uncle, Frank and their aunt, Kleine, in Switzerland.
A Rynax boy finds Christmas and tries to maker her his pair.
A girl named, Jessica, who has lost her family in a Rynax energy accident, rescues Yvon.
Kurau rescues Yvon after the GPO captures Jessica. However, Ayaka and the GPO continue their hunt for Yvon.
Inspector Wong tells Kurau and Ayaka about the GPO's secret agenda. Ayaka finds out who killed her family, when she was a child.
Ayaka visits Kurau and Christmas and shares some of her past with Kurau. Kurau and Christmas then travel to France to find two Rynax twins, to try to save them from being captured by the GPO. Ayaka confronts Director Saito.
The Rynax twins, Windt and Regel, turn out to have no regard for human lives, when they act out their strategy to capture Kurau's Rynax energy.
Director Saito has perfected his newest crop of GPO soldiers. Kurau and Christmas continue to chase the Delyus twins. The twins, however, manage to separate Kurau and Christmas from each other, leaving them more vulnerable. But the pair are not in this fight alone. Ayaka Steiger has something special up her sleeve, to assist them in capturing the twins.
The twins learn what it is to be human. What price will they pay for this unbearable knowledge?
Windt goes after Director Saito. Will Kurau, Ayaka and the GPO be able to stop him?
A lonely Christmas goes back to live with Uncle Frank and Aunt Kleine in Switzerland. Meanwhile, Kurau goes back to live with her father. We find out the real reason that Kurau loved the Christmas holiday.
