YIP KWOK-CHEONG runs a private investigation agency. Members of his investigation team include KAY ON-KUI, CHOW KA-SING, LAW LAI-NA, NIP BING, and CHIU YING-TAT. The team investigates the adulterous relationship between Jeweler MA CHING-HANG and a model called SHIRLEY. KUI follows closely on SHIRELY, pretending to be the driver of a model agency. Model CHUNG YEE-TAK drink drives after quarrelling with her boyfriend. She finds it fortunate that she is not injured at all. She feels dejected at work the next day, because nobody pays any attention to her. She overhears by chance where SHIRLEY is seeing HANG. KUI nearly has an accident as he is tailing SHIRLEY. TAK tips him off about where SHIRLEY is meeting HANG. SING manages to take their photos. When KUI thanks TAK for her information, she asks him to look for her mother, LEUNG WAI-KUEN, who left home many years ago. KUI visits TAK’s grandmother, CHAN SIU-YUK, who lives in a village.… ...

TAK tries to catch the tram but fails. KUI tells her not to be oversensitive. TAK’s boyfriend has another girl. She is so angry that she takes to smashing bricks. Police officer HO YING-BIU catches her. She has no choice but to tell him her story. BIU is so nice as to gives her some words of consolation. KUI’s aunt, KAY HO-YAN, used to go out with CHEONG but she dumped him in the end. KUI’s father, KAY HO-YEE, still cannot get over this after all these years. YAN, who left home 18 years ago, appears suddenly. YEE is very pleased though he does not show it. CHEONG is called on to check out about WONG CHUN-FUNG, the boyfriend of HO LAI-SHUN’s daughter, HO LAI-CHING. Initial investigation suggests that FUNG, who is a fitness trainer, is a scrupulous person. According to the nightclub manager, KUEN was not a hostess but an ordinary staff, although she was a good friend of hostess TSUI KWAI-FONG.… ...

YAN wants to fix up the house. YEE is not happy that she did not talk to him first. The brother and sister quarrel again. SING suspects that FUNG has another girl. His relationship with WONG SIU-FU looks unusual too. It happens that CHEONG knows FU. When he asks FU about FUNG, FU behaves indifferently. SING tails FUNG but FU ruins his plan. CHEONG gives SHUN some photos of FUNG. The latter is taken aback when he sees the woman in the photos is his wife. TAK tells KUI she has been out of her mind recently. Once, she got very upset simply because she had been removed from a poster. TAK runs into BIU at a cinema. He listens attentively to her complaints. FONG has come round. KUI and TAK ask her about KUEN immediately, upsetting her once again. Someone drops paint from a height. KUI’s clothes are smeared. TAK, who is walking by his side, is not affected a bit. She believes the spirit of her late mother is protecting her.… ...

Episode 4: Episode 4 (Dec 02, 2010)
TAK visits KUI in the evening. She leaves in disappointment, feeling that she is not welcomed. KUI seeks help from his friend SO KAM-LAM, who is a police officer. LAM advices him not to tell TAK the truth for the time being. KUI goes to check out more about KUEN with the nightclub manager, who says that KUEN was a confirmed gambler and that she once owed SING gambling debts. When he looks into the matter further, KUI finds that FONG had once made KUEN drunk so that SING could take her to a guesthouse. The guesthouse caught on fire later and KUEN was killed. FONG admitted doing so, and was very sorry for her evil deed. TAK and KUI visit YUK’s village. The village head tells them YUK passed away two weeks ago. TAK is very upset. The rent for the papier-mache shop has gone up. YEE is vexed. YAN suggests closing the shop. After listening to KUI explains what the shop means to everyone, YAN decides to buy it.… ...

Episode 5: Episode 5 (Dec 03, 2010)
FU releases SING after he has got rid of the police. SING concludes FU is not vicious in nature. SING goes to the police station to give his statement, during which he has a quarrel with his ex-wife, LEE KA-MAN, who is also a police officer, over their son. CHING goes to see FU but the police follow her closely. CHEONG and SING drive near to save FU just in time. FU tells them FUNG has been trying to get rid of SHUN’s wife but she threatened him. TAK helps KUI arrest a man who has been creating troubles in supermarkets. She bumps into BIU as she leaves. She pulls herself together with the encouragement of BIU. Sympathizing with her, KUI puts her up in his flat. YAN and her husband, LEUNG MAN-YIU, have an argument at a restaurant. Later, YIU issues a legal letter to YAN, demanding her to repay him a large amount of money. YEE goes to YIU’s hotel with her daughter, KAY ON-LOK, preparing to reprimand YIU.… ...

Episode 6: Episode 6 (Dec 06, 2010)
SING risks his life to save CHING then takes her to hospital. SING visits FU at the detention centre. According to FU, FUNG has ordered a wedding ring. CHEONG brings the ring to see CHING. She gets very emotional, telling him she once had an abortion. CHEONG and the other hurry to SHUN’s house. SHUN has killed his wife and FUNG for the reason that she would not leave FUNG and cheated his money. CHING saw SHUN burying the bodies. Although she was unwilling to turn his father in, she was so conscience-stricken that she killed herself later. SHUN tries to run away but is arrested by the police. Judging from the eagle feces found in SHUN’s car, KUI concludes he has buried the bodies in an industrial area. The police have found FUNG’s body; FU is released. CHEONG buys the papier-mache shop. Everybody in the Kay family is released. Penniless now, YAN returns home. She has even found a cashier job at a restaurant.… ...

Episode 7: Episode 7 (Dec 07, 2010)
TAK is very happy about saving the boy. Realizing her supernatural power, she decides to work life to the full. BIU is very pleased. FU wants to turn a new leaf, and so CHEONG employs him as an investigator. A car collides with a hearse. KUI witnesses the accident. He recognizes that the victim is CHEUK YAN, his ex-girlfriend, who is a comic book artist. When CHEUK YAN wakes up, she calls herself YAU SUM-MEI, the girl in the hearse. As CHEUK YAN is able to describe MEI’s things of the past, MEI’s mother, CHEUNG LAI-FONG, is convinced that MEI is reincarnated in CHEUK YAN’s body. MEI’s younger brother, YAU SUM-KIT, is doubtful about this though. KUI looks in the matter for them, while TAK consults BIU about how it is like when a person’s body is possessed by a spirit. KIT tells KUI he now believes MEI’s spirit has possessed CHEUK YAN’s body. KUI, bringing along with him a comic book of CHEUK YAN, decides to give MEI a test.… ...

Episode 8: Episode 8 (Dec 08, 2010)
TAK has found two sets of female commodities in CHEUK YAN’s flat. She suspects they are lovers. When KUI gives CHEUK YAN the comic book she wanted many years ago, she gets very excited. On the surface, MEI was killed in a robbery, but she died of excessive bleeding. BIU finds her death unusual. KUI exposes CHEUK YAN and demands that she tell the truth. CHEUK YAN denies pretending to be MEI. FU makes a visit to YUEN-CHING’s home. Mistakenly believes that YUEN-CHING is taking advantage of FU, SING, who has been monitoring them, bursts open the door. MAN tells SING she is marrying YUEN-CHING and that she will move to France with their son, BILLY. SING swears to the matter to the court so that she will not make it. FU has found some photos of BILLY taken when he was a baby in YUEN-CHING’s place. YAN is frustrated at work. CHEONG volunteers to give her a hand. YAN feels that CHEONG still cares a lot about her.… ...
Episode 9
Episode 9: Episode 9 (Dec 09, 2010)
KUI and BIU are of the view that CHEUK YAN and MEI were lovers, and that the former had killed MEI accidentally. They also believe KIT happened to tape the whole process somehow. KIT’s mother is a superstitious person, she always sees KIT as a jinx. KIT is therefore very sure that his mother will not give the rein of the company to him, even though MEI has died. That MEI’s spirit has possessed the body of CHEUK YAN is only his ploy. On the other hand, he makes CHEUK YAN give him the company with the tape. SING downloads videos from KIT’s cell phone when he is not aware. He discovers that some of the files have been deleted already. CHEUK YAN confesses having killed MEI by accident to KUI. When she finishes, she wants to end her own life. She hits KUI into a coma when he is trying to stop her. TAK’s spirit has taken KUI’s body by accident. FONG agrees to CHEUK YAN’s suggestion of giving 70 per cent of her assets to some charity.… ...

Episode 10: Episode 10 (Dec 10, 2010)
The studio now shooting the “The Legend of Fa Ying-Hung” is said to be haunted. WAI LING, the second actress, and BROTHER YIN, the lighting man, are suspicious of spreading the rumor. CHEONG sends the team KUI to check it out. CHIEF, who is mentally challenged, makes fun of SING, who works as an extra. After a few days’ investigation, the team concludes that the recent strange happenings are all man made. A university student, JASON, visits the papier-mache shop to gather material for an article. LOK fancies him, and imagines he has the same feelings for her, too. LOK is upset, but YAN does not sympathize with her at all. YEE cannot help but scolds her. JASON goes to the shop to apologize to LOK. KUI finds this unusual. It turns out JASON’s body is possessed by TAK’s spirit. When KUI reproaches her, she decides she might as well possess his body and go crazy shopping.… ...
Episode 11
Episode 11: Episode 11 (Dec 13, 2010)
CHIEF sneaks into the studio in the middle of the night. Someone stabs KEUNG from behind when he is fighting with CHIEF. CHIEF, who has witnessed the incident and seen TAK’s spirit, cries out for help and then is taken to a mental home. FU and BING investigate at a counterfeit goods shop. They pretend to be mainland visitors, but the sales see through their true identity. Thanks to BING’s agility they manage to escape. SING works part-time as a debt collector. He is beaten up when he is collecting debts. MAN visits him in hospital. He learns from her conversation with CHEONG that he is not BILLY’s real father. CHEONG’s friends wonder if he is going out with YAN again. LA is upset that he does not deny. Someone kills KEUNG with a special French knife. BIU finds the same model of knife in KEUNG’s house later. He also finds KEUNG’s wife suspicious, as she has found out about his affair with YING.… ...
Episode 12
Episode 12: Episode 12 (Dec 14, 2010)
According to CHIEF’s description, the attacker looks very similar to PETER. KUI believes PETER is a secret admirer of YING, and that he kills the people around her so as to protect her. Putting the bits and pieces together, BIU and his colleagues conclude that: KEUNG’s wife went to the studio with a knife to threaten YING but KEUNG stopped her. PETER then stabbed KEUNG to death using the knife she had left. Cannot stand KEUNG’s wife’s pestering, YING decided to retire from the showbiz. And that was why PETER was determined to get rid of KEUNG’s wife. KUI hurries to YING’s flat, only to find that she has been knocked out and taken away by PETER. As a matter a fact, PETER and YING went to the same primary school and he has been in love with her all the years. KUI and his colleagues make a beeline for the studio, where they believe PETER is taking YING. LA cannot believe it when YAN claims that she is CHEONG’s girlfriend.… ...
Episode 13
Episode 13: Episode 13 (Dec 15, 2010)
LAM has killed someone. He tries hard to destroy all the traces. LAM gets along well with KOO WING-SZE and her son, CHONG, who is autistic. TAK suspects he is in love with SZE. KUI chat with TAK. After watching the tape, SING jumps to the conclusion that the company is haunted, but CHEONG thinks there is something wrong with KUI’s mental health. LA and CHEONG have arranged a psychological test for KUI. Believing that LA is putting on a demonstration, YAN picks up a quarrel with her. The police have found a body of LEE KWOK-PANG in a landfill. His wife, SZE, is taken to the police station for questioning. LAM pretends to be a stranger to SZE. He then beats up JUNKIE WAH, telling him not to say a word. BIU is puzzled by what LAM has done. BIU snitches to MAN that SZE was not telling the truth. After MAN’s second quiz, SZE confesses she has killed PANG by accident when he demanded her for money. TAK has fainted.… ...
Episode 14
Episode 14: Episode 14 (Dec 16, 2010)
TAK’s spirit has been released into the body of a dog. KUI takes her home. As it is impossible for SZE to move PANG’s body alone, MAN decides she must have an accomplice. LAM knows SZE, so MAN invites him to give her a hand. To her surprise, he tries to conceal his relationship with SZE. LAM is trying to kill JUNKIE WAH when KUI appears and stops him. BIU informs the police that LAM is hiding in Sai Kung. The police fire when he resists arrest. BIU shields him from the bullets and helps him escape. When they are safe, BIU appears and advises him to repent. LAM admits killing PANG. He also confesses kidnapping SZE so as to shift the blame to her. He killed JUNKIE WAH, for he had seen him moving the body. YAN works as CHEONG’s special executive assistant. LA cannot stand her constant nitpicking and so decides to quit. SING has sprained his leg. He is happy when BILLY pays him a sudden visit. BILLY takes TAK to the park.… ...
Episode 15
Episode 15: Episode 15 (Dec 17, 2010)
KUI cries tears of happiness, knowing that TAK is safe and sound. TAK has a feeling that the pregnant woman in the taxi would be her future mother. SING finds out later that the woman, whose name is YUEN SIN, has just returned from France. LA falls from the stairs. From the CCTV tape, FU sees that YAN was scolding and running after LA until they reached the door. Everybody believes it was YAN who pushed LA down the stairs. CHEONG even decides to break up with YAN. TAK believes the matter is not as simple as it seems. BIU appears to tell her the truth. According to him, LAM was a playboy in his younger days, resulting in his wife’s departure. When he knew that his long lost daughter, SZE, had killed LAM, he volunteered to take the blame for her. KUI was diagnosed with a brain tumor four years ago. It is growing in a rapid rate and he only has six months to go. TAK takes KUI’s medication to SING for a test.… ...
Episode 16
Episode 16: Episode 16 (Dec 20, 2010)
LAM is upset that SZE has turned herself in. The police charge him of assisting in discarding the body. BIU is very down. TAK gives him some words of consolation. Much to KUI’s relief, YEE is not as worried about his illness now. The day for TAK’s reincarnation is due. She is sad to leave KUI. He takes her out to cheer her up. TAK is struck by lightning, after which she develops the ability of foreseeing. LA confesses to YAN that her accident was a ploy, admitting she had never for a second expected that it would make CHEONG leave her. She apologizes to YAN. To upset GARY, BING and FU kiss at the restaurant. TAK is disappointed to learn that SIN is a single parent. YUEN-CHING’s restaurant opens today. Neither BILLY nor MAN attends the opening, with the excuse that they are taking part in a tree planting activity with SING. YUEN-CHING flies into a fit of anger when he bumps into them. He picks up a fight with SING.… ...

Episode 17: Episode 17 (Dec 21, 2010)
YUEN-CHING risks his life to save BILLY from a car accident. BILLY, who is touched, accepts him at last. MAN decides to go to France with him, but she is put in a dilemma when SING pleads to start over with her. LAM is sent to prison. BIU goes with him. MOK CHUN-CHUNG, a fellow inmate of LAM, is early released because of his good behavior. He is grateful to KUI for finding him a waiter job. LA admits defaming YAN. CHEONG apologizes to YAN but she does not accept it. It hurts him even more to know that she is going out with UNCLE BING, a staff in the shop. Councilor SHEK CHI-KIN has been attacked with a brick and died. The police take the case very seriously. KUI notices that CHUNG talks to spirits a lot. He finds out later he was the person who set fire to the guesthouse. TAK forgives him anyhow. MAN sees through YUEN-CHING’s trick.… ...

Episode 18: Episode 18 (Dec 22, 2010)
YUEN-CHING tells the police that SING was the man who ambushed MAN. SING is detained. MAN’s situation has become stable. It turns out that YUEN-CHING was trying to maneuver BILLY by attacking MAN. Fortunately TAK scared him away. MAN has come round. She testifies for SING. The two make up with each other. After looking further into the arson, KUI discovers there were two arsonists, one being CHUNG and the other his good friend MA CHI-CHIU. CHIU was killed in the fire, whereas CHUNG was given a life sentence. CHUNG has always insisted that he was innocent. KIN and MAN were present when the fire broke out. KUI and his colleagues deduce that CHIU’s spirit entered CHUNG’s body so as to revenge him. A man called LAW HOI also witnessed the incident. CHUNG is making him reveal it was TATOO GUY who set the fire when TAK suddenly appears. TATOO GUY is a wanted criminal and his real name is CHENG NAM.… ...
Episode 19
Episode 19: Episode 19 (Dec 23, 2010)
MEI and KUEN are in fact the same person. According to KUEN, FONG drunk her under the table and then took her to the guesthouse to SING. Luckily NAM came to her help. NAM poured paraffin as he was fighting with SING, resulting in the fire. She and NAM changed their names and went to Taiwan after the incident. CHUNG takes KUEN to a junkyard. He swears to make her repay him when he learns that NAM has already died. BIU digs out the prison’s library record. He is sure CHUNG does not suffer from split personalities. KUI unmasks CHUNG. A car falls down and hits CHUNG as he is running away. He dies. TAK saves KUEN using psychokinetic power. YAN and UNCLE BING are merely make-up lovers. CHEONG has gone broke in the stock market. YAN cheers him up. He grasps the opportunity to propose to her. TAK is sad to see KUEN returning to Taiwan. BIU is very excited about his reincarnation.… ...
Episode 20
Episode 20: Episode 20 (Dec 24, 2010)
TAK refuses to go into reincarnation now that she knows how deep KUI’s love is for her. BIU tries to make her change her mind but his effort proves futile. SIN’s fetus is unstable. CHUNG swears to harm KUI’s relatives and friends. BIU advises KUI to pacify CHUNG. KUI accompanies CHUNG’s mother, LAN, to the mortuary. He tries to talk her into forgiving her son, but she refuses, saying that CHUNG has done too many evil deeds. KUI and his friends are on the way to CHEONG’s wedding banquet. KUI gets off the coach with an excuse. He wants to jump down from a building, believing this will vent CHUNG’s anger. CHUNG stops him. SIN is in labor. TAK is on her way to her reincarnation when she sees KUI in danger. CHUNG has got the control of the coach. KUI tries to stop him but ends up colliding with the coach. CHEONG and the others are hurt, while KUI dies on the spot. KUI and CHUNG’s spirits continue to fight with each other.… ...
